How was your daily longboarding ride/s?

took one of my cousins for a short cruise around the neighborhoods. he was pushing slow enough that i figured i could try pumping. never did it before, but i figured it out! so stoked. I could keep up with him pushing even up the slight inclines and declines through the neighborhood. so cool! now i might look into getting a dedicated slalom setup.....

Skating in hot and humid ass Shanghai is not fun. I miss the Cali breeze.

But on a positive note, they do seem to have some perfect pavement and gigantic bike lanes. Also, no road rage from drivers.

skated to the mall yesterday to meet up with a friend who was getting off work. it was a fun smooth ride i never took before, at least not on a longboard. i got there just as he was closing up then we hopped in his car and rolled up

Couple nights ago i was hitting a spot we call "hard right" in the pitch black (and rain) on a 2 day old deck (rayne timeline) and slid in gumballs that ive had for about a day (there my friends). As you can guess there is a sharp, hard right turn at the bottom of this run. So were boogyin' down this run about 20 mph. Nothing major at all but in the pitch black it felt like i was going 40. As i approach the turn im saying to myself "these wheels are going to lose traction, these wheels are going to loose tractin". I hit the turn, and whaddya know?? The board slid out from under me and slung me at a curb. Nothing but a couple cuts and bruises.

awwww, secret weapon! I should get a shirt make out of that for running. Hot sweaty runs over 3 miles have produced chapped bleeding nips on an occasion.

I bent not one, but TWO, spacers yesterday! arrrrrrgggghhhhh! now i gotta spend a buck to get replacements that's a frickin volcano taco I wont be eating

If you haven't tossed it yet, can I see a pic? Not picking at you, I just find it interesting when little things happen like this that you wouldn't ordinarily expect. I'm not (prolly never will be) a Slidzilla but there's slow ones in my future.


Yesterday was pretty cool. Took a couple of boards with me to our team outing at big forest preserve because on the flyer it showed a 2.5 mile paved route around the block. Took off immediately on my Demon. I probably should've jogged it first. Then I wouldn't have been surprised at the two sudded drops with sharp turns just before crossing bridges. No harm, no foul, 2 highspeed runouts and today I'm walking a little funny. Must've been the pumping I tried with a slight taste of success that has the right side of the gluteus maximus a little sore. it's good

the surf was great for longboarding, and when my gir land i were done we made out on our boards in the sand during a spectacular sunset.
