Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
I am new to downhill, and today I hit my first big run, my top speed was 49mph,(clocked in with a radar gun) so it was pretty awesome. Cannot wait to get out there and start racing.
I skate because there's no Facespace, no Mybook, no Twatter, no eMail, no television, no commercials, no celebrities, no zillion dollar sports teams. No bulls--t whatsoever... It's just me, the pavement, one deck, two trucks, four bushings, four wheels, eight bearings, and some mounting hardware. My very own little race car, my own flight simulator, and it feels f--king great. ^^FlyKneeGrow^^

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Went out for 2 hour session at a reservation with paved roads and no cars. Had some fun sliding and carving down the many hills there and then afterwards I had another 2 hour session around my neighborhood. Did some dancing and more sliding, all around good times.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Listening to some good music I went the long way from campus to my dorm. Really good turns. I'm still getting used to my new board but I love the feeling of it and the sun beaming down. Going to make extra time for myself tomorrow. Was an overall good day. 8)

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
i was skating through campus, stopped and chilled in the parking lot with some friends, and a rather large man in a brown and dooky green poncho with an all leather hat and sandals walked past us. needless to say, i cracked the hell up for a good ten minutes and it surely brightened my cold dreary day

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Went out skating with my new girl/roomie and by the way she kept walking up and rolling down the small inclines outside our house I'm pretty sure we'll be bombing the local hills together in no time!
Her board of choice is my Mystery Model with Smokies and fishballs, now fitted with some My Little Pony stickers she usually rewards her pupils with.
I assumed she preffered it mainly because of the crazy stable trucks, but she has already built a preference towards gradual concaves rather than flat caves.
I think I might be overestimating her, but that's what I got out of ther ``The shape makes it more comfortable to stand on.``
Got some clear spray for my Sean Mallard I had painted by the neighbour kids when we were babysitting, so prepare for some mad paint jobs in the future!
So I'm pretty stoked nowadays!

You guys all pump me up with your tales of sesh. Thanks and I hope any and all pains and sickness evaporate promptly to return you to your regularly scheduled skate.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
woo hoo! Demon ftw.
Tonight was tinker/make something work night. I'd been fooling with my Landy drop wedge trying to finding a bushing combo that fit the bears that let me carve it. Tonight I ended up with purple sabre barrels bottom and red randal cones on top. I was actually kind of surprised how nice it felt. Smooth hard leans but snaps back to center nicely. Now I want to try that combo on something else since I've got so many of the red randals.
