Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Today was awesome, an all around rush.. Me and a few friends were shredding the usual 4 hills in our town the we discovered 4 more on the opposite side of the mountain. These roads are insane, all new housing developments, all downhill, we maxed out at easily over 40 mph. I was awesome, i can say today was a good day.
I skate because there's no Facespace, no Mybook, no Twatter, no eMail, no television, no commercials, no celebrities, no zillion dollar sports teams. No bulls--t whatsoever... It's just me, the pavement, one deck, two trucks, four bushings, four wheels, eight bearings, and some mounting hardware. My very own little race car, my own flight simulator, and it feels f--king great. ^^FlyKneeGrow^^

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
So so, I got a full face motorcycle helmet from my lil bro and because i never tried full face I went for a ride with it, to get a feel of it @ 10:00 PM
It was weird pushing but really comfy when in my tuck. I think I'm the only one interested in downhill speedboarding over here so people were really slowing down and staring at me all the time I was riding.
To see a dude with no shirt, wearing a motorcycle helmet on a dropped landy with flywheels for the first time must be strange, so I kinda understand.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Started my day with a nice banana smoothie, walked outside, and felt the mornin air; a bit chilly.
I ran down my dirt driveway to the main road, I then hopped on my board and didn't off till 9PM. Priceless...

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
mine was the tougher side of love. Had CONSTANT head wind the entire 7 mile commute home. Felt more like 15. At one point the gust was so strong it literaly stopped me from going forward. All the while my nose/allergies acting up with the dry dusty win...fun. And i was hoping my LBL Salamander came today, but i found out i actually shipped today and should be here next monday. Doh! Oh well...stupid Calif weather...
The only plus side was i finally got pre drifiting/180 colemans down, and i did so down a hill that ends in a turn. As i was sliding around said turn, i went right in front of a lovely chica. Muy bueno haha. She was impressed, i just kept cool with the "oh sorry, i do this all the time, its nothing special" face. Hellz yeah im cool.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Cold, windy, but fun.
Went up to this road not too far from our house, just repaved. Just a few turns around this hill, not a very long run, but good for learning to slide. Practicing powerslides and speedchecks and had a lot of fun coming down the hill. Still working on getting more distance out of them, trying to not move all my weight forward after I start to slide. No cars, I was the only one there.
On the downside, it was like 30 degrees, 20 mph winds. But it was still pretty awesome.

Re: How was your daily longboarding ride/s?
Eh, it was really ####### hot! And while I was going over a bridge I hit a rut and nearly cataupulted my board into a creek, whew....I was so glad it didint go over. And on the way back there were 3 girls walking wide on the sidewalk and they wouldnt budge, they forced me to nearly bale off my longboard. Okay ride, bit I really want to go out again and ride when its a little cooler. I could take another hour or two!
