    Default Looking for first board

I have been messing around with my friends longboards and I really want my own. I just want something for crusing and carving. I am about 6' 180 pounds. I am looking for a complete and I am not looking to spend more than 150 dollars.I don't want anything really long.

    www.krackedskulls.com

You can get different lengths between 38-46" if you email him, and the size drastically changes the feel of the board. 38" is very fast to carve and very turny, although there isn't as much room which could be a problem for you (depending on if you want to do many hills). 46" is quite stable and has a nice mellow carve, although it is still fairly turny.

With the info you gave, that's the best start I can point you towards. If you like/don't like the shape or specs on it, tell us what you think.

Get the 38" Scimitar, just email the guy, he'll hook you up.

The 38" runs with a very good setup for somewhat less than $150 shipped.

Do you have a picture of the 38" Scimitar. I couldn't find any pictures on the website.
Also I don't really like the shape of the 46' board.

i believe the Scimitar (38" and 42") is more than $150. the 46" is in the budget though.

After doing research I decided that the m1 actually would be nice even if I don't like the shape. Lee W said you could get it a 38" and I think I would like that length better. Thinking about it I think I could live with the shape.

i just ordered my kracked skulls literally minutes ago
46 inch m1 and i see nothing wrong/ugly about the shape
i decided to go with the normal 46 inch because i already have a 37 inch board, a 39 inch board, and i want something different

If you email KS directly he may have shots of the 38" board. Otherwise use the search on this site and there is a HUGE thread dedicated entire to KS. There are a few pictures of the 38" version in that thread. it is 8" shorter and about an inch narrower as well. Much, much stiffer...and much different. Both are great boards. And the Scimitar model (not listed on the site, but email him for info) has a better feel IMO, but it is also more cash. It looks very very similar to the M1, but with more aggressive cutouts...however the ride is slightly snappier. If you are new to longboarding this difference won't be entirely noticeable, depending on how aggressive you ride. (Keep in mind this "snappier" feel is from personal experience, not how I've heard the deck to be marketed/compared to the M1).
