Default Want to Get Sliding Wheels, any suggestions?

Wanted to try out some sliding wheels, have some really soft carving wheels right now. Anybody have any suggestions on brands or types; duro or width. I've heard that the harder the better, is it also the bigger the better. I'm riding on randals and a loaded dervish.

also, i was just wondering... If you have really hard wheels 90a+ can you still carve and bomb without sliding out?

well there's most certainly a relationship between traction and hardness.
if you go much over 85a you will notice traction begin to go down significantly.

there are good compromise wheels out there, but they inevitably give up a bit of both for a happy medium.

Earthwing 62mm superballs are great. I may sound like I'm just plugging for them by now, but they are very good. I've had mine for about a year now with minimal shrinkage and no flat-spots (i like to do slides that keep my wheels moving).

Slide-A, Sergio sliders, etc are the complete other end of the spectrum.
Awesome sliding wheels, I wouldn't try bombing on them though, at least not if you ever have to turn.

I agree, very drifty when broken in.

powerballs. i used to attempt sliding on my 78a flywheels and could barely get them to slide out. i just got a fresh set of powerballs today and my first slide i did a 180. they are actually pretty grippy when carving or mild bombing but once you put a hand down they slide like butter. highly recommended
