Kryptos and slashers slide smoothly because they are soft. They pretty much just disintegrate when you slide them.

Good to hear. I figured they would slide more, but wear quick, because of their relatively thin contact patch.

It's an old sector 9 board. I think the modern equivalent is the Pipe line (bamboo series). It has a different design, those s9 dudes change the design a lot.
    Still is a great board.

Does anyone know anything about Lake Tahoe longboards? The shapes look functional. Any comments?

set up a good board for cruisin around campus:
    world industries old school deck

    indy139's

    white 65mm krypto classics

    reds
bones hardcore soft bottoms on top, stocks on bottom
basically the whole board was free but had no risers, stock bushings, and was dirty and rusty, so i fixed it up a bit and it rides great now

We also learned the merits of garage door openers. After you wisk your bike into the garage.. you call the PD and report it stolen.. oddly enough we always found them the next day.

After slowly disassembling all my other setups in favor of my hellcat my cruising carving setup is:

    hellcat 08
    randals 50°
    lime zigzags
    ASK bearings
    edger grip

its not the best cruising/carving setup but i like it. and i also like having only one board for everything.

Dervish Flex 2, Gullwing Chargers, Bones Reds, and In Heats. About as generic as they come, but I love the setup

I just got this set up and painted. It's an upgrade from my current (and first) set up, which is a Sector 9 Uluwatu with Gullwing Alpines and Sector 9 Nineballs.

    TheLongboardStore.com Blank 40" deck
    Randal II 180s (50*)
    Tunnel Tarantulas 70mm 75a
    Bones Reds

So far I'm pretty happy, but my only complaints are is that the deck is (1) perfectly flat and (2) stiffer than the Sector 9. I realize now that I've come to like the concave and the flex of the Sector 9. I'll give it a few more weeks, but then I might put these trucks and wheels on the S9 deck. But I do like the wheel cutouts of the new deck, so I might look for another deck with cutouts, but something more flexy and with some concave.
