just for all-around carving, i take my loaded dancer out (randal 180s, lime bigzigs). its fun, flexy, and impresses the ladies ^_^ but it does get a little heavy after a while, so i'll put it away and bust out the legendary demon (randal 180s, lime zigzags) and kick to my hearts desire ^_^

Hey Metalhead, I've been hacking away at this insect pintail, and have always had plans to "stub" the nose up a bit to get the truck more under my front foot for efficient ldp'ing. Your comment was enough encouragement for me to go out and actually do what I had planned.

I ended up making a 27-29" adjustable wheelbase, versus the factory 29-30". I settled on the front furthest back as well as the rear truck furthest back (28"). Just a warning to anyone using a jigsaw on insect boards - I've used both metal and wood blades, multiple styles and tooth count and they ALL get butchered by the fiberglass. The first cuts I made on the deck I used I think 3 blades, followed by 2 more blades for todays cuts.

    Started as this:

    Then this:

    Now:

    Works great.
