    Do you think the taps on the sides of the platforms are really there just to keep one plaform from hitting the other? I think they used to have a nylon web that you could use to attach the two platforms at the tabs.

    They come with an optional strap that you can attach them with. They say its for beginners, but I found it actually makes it harder because the pieces will snap into each other if you spread your legs too much.
