Re: squirmboard
all the other names have been taken? squirmboard?
it's exactly freelines, except for people who are too pussy to build up their kegels. the true power in freelines that makes them so much better than all these other BS inventions is the variable wheelbase capability.
fools.

Re: squirmboard
Great, freelines with training wheels.
Nice "originality" with the theft of the freeline skate design and lack of skill to feel the need to put a pole between the skates for more balance than freelines...it should be called the pole dancer and you should have to be one big tool to use it.
Sorry for rant.

Re: squirmboard
Here is a quad version I saw some time ago.
Individual foot-skates for ... - Google Patent Search
There was a Youtube video of the prototype being ridden by the inventor but I couldn't find it. Seems like it was under search words like "best skate invention, snakeboard, skateboard with words like articulated and quad in there somewhere.
It is a pretty simple torsion spring truck system. They looked like they carved really well and had the wiggle propulsion of a snake board too. Would you a little or a lot of steering resistance and tilt angle?
Add the Sqirmboard's additional degrees of articulation and you have a board that is fully articulated on every axis.

possibly on the short course, but with far more effort, and I can't see that same guy keeping up for any serious distance.
they'll also still be stuck when it comes to launching down big hills, unless they're just stupidly insane, which I guess the double backflips videos prove is true. i'd like to see how well they footbrake at 35mph, and how they carve and shave off speed.

kind of ironic to hear freeliners bashing other designs, when most skaters think freeliners are sideway rollerblading tools...

i'm sure the squirmboard guys are looking desperately for that "one guy" as well, for their next marketing video

Re: squirmboard
actually from that squirmboard video, he seems to do ok downhilling on it... those freeliners downhill too.. but they look kinda sketchy...
snakeboard feels real weird to me going down a hill even at a very slow speed, cause it doesn't lean...

because freelines are an effective design, and this is EXACTLY freelines, but stuck together, which eliminates a massive amount of what makes freelines both so tricky to learn, and so amazingly orgasmic once you can take advantage of that.
