    Default new bindings

I've been freebording for a while now on and off. With the Snowboard season looming, and the first snow falling in Davos yesterday, I put a new freebord that I've had a while, together today, and I'd ordered some Spin bindings for it, which necessitated me drilling new holes through the deck. Did all that, just tried it out. What a waste of time. The standard S2 bindings are SO much better. So now I have a brand new Freebord with 4 holes through it that I don't need. Guess I'll end up filling them with epoxy, and putting the standard bindings back on.

Just in case anyone was thinking of ordering spin bindings...........................

    Thats just my opinion though

Good call. I've heard mixed reviews about the spin bindings for freebording. Some say they have too much flex, others swear by them. Which version did you get? Hopefully you got the stiffer ones because that is what everyone recommends. Thanks for the review though. How long have you been freebordings?

Yeah I went for the stiffer ones, but they still too flexy.

Freebording for about a year on and off.

Hey, I use the stiffer ones. The flexibility is a trade off for the added grip they give you. I tried the spin strap with the S2 baseplate but that sucked! You need HUGE shoes cos they're massive, take a while to get used to aswell. My feet stay put much better now, everytime I'd olly in S2s my feet would move around and I wouldn't be able to do a second one. Spins won't let you make aggressive foot motions like S2s can but they give you a new respect for subtle movements.

If you can't sell them then keep trying! I remember you hating your freebord when you first bought it!!
