Re: SPINBOARD the concrete snowboard
No offense but this is not a concrete snowboard, The freebord is the best replication of ripping the snow, You can slide in any direction you want at any speed, it's the most amazing feeling ever. You have perfect control over your speed and lateral movement. Check out some videos before you judge it.

Re: SPINBOARD the concrete snowboard
I use these bindings on my freebord; they grip your feet better than skyhooks or freebord S2s yet are suprisingly easy to bail out of. Anyone scared of being "strapped in" needs to grow some anyway!! They are VERY flexible, but that's what gives them their grip.
Am I the only person that finds people trying to emulate snowboard "street" tricks on a skateboard funny. As snowboarders often refer to rail and stairset riding as "skate" style where snowboarders are copying skate tricks?!!! (Referring to the recent snake board thread aswell there)

Hey man do you know what the names of the straps are off the top of your head? I ride a Freebord and have the bindings, I feel like they could come unglued. I love being strapped, you have way more control over your board. Is it just me or do you think Freebords would be awesome to ride on some big air sh*t on a downhill course setup similar to a ski hill park?

They aren't bad at all. I cleared a set of 7 stairs the other day no problem, nothing huge, but big enough to mess yourself up on

That is one crappy thing about Freebords is that they are hard to get up to speed. First off the stock bearings that they come with are crappy and should be upgraded to bones reds at minimum. Second, skateparks, at least around WI, are pretty wide open, don't have big enough launch ramps and it is real easy to lose speed coming up on most of the fun features a park has to offer. I think the speed problem is also due to the setup of the bindings. If the front binding could rotate 90 degrees and allow your back foot to do a nice push start, instead of a retarded snowboarding pushoff, they would be more enjoyable in the park. I ride my Freebord to work everyday, 3 miles each way, and the most frustrating part of riding it is in the flat spots on the road because it is such an awkward position to push from. I'm not trying to call you out or anything, but have you ridden a Freebord before?

YouTube - freebord backflip
Thats awesome man... loved the video..., but as you could see even with this rider, who is freakin awesome, still has trouble maintaining speed to really link anything together. I was asking if you rode because I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how to make the Freebord a more park friendly ride. If you have any good suggestions I might try it out and let you know how it goes. Also, if I can find a ramp to soar off of down a hill I'll post my results
Thanks for the replies
**If it has wheels flippin ride it!**

Re: SPINBOARD the concrete snowboard
There's quite a few guys ripping skateparks these days. Roberto (in the second vid) is leading the way with bowl riding. There's some aussie riders (in perth I think) that have been getting impressive air for a few years now.
