i tried to stand on a t-board and i thought i was going to break my ankles, that #### is whack. I absolutely love freebord though, although not as much as just skating. Freebords are fast, too. I had 70mm kryptonics rollerblade wheels for my centers with bones swiss and it was a snap to hit 40+ just straightlining gnarly hills with no runout.
actually stopping should be a 10 because you can stop when ever you want and stops quickly. Also, freebords are meant to go really fast. Just watch the learn to ride video and the guy is bombing Hiller at like 55 miles an hour.
I wish i hadn't sold my freebord. I used to bomb the craziest hills at high speeds, it's so stable when you're on the center wheels only, now that i DH and go to races, it would be a really fun thing to just mess around with sometimes. I want to see how fast i can actually make on go, tucked and all.
hey, im new to this whole thing and basically joined to get some info on freebords. the concept seems awesome im just wondering if it delivers, im looking for a smooth ride that simulates snowboarding, and im wondering will it work on a slightly rough road, nothing a longboard cant handle.
freebord.com/forum because thats where the pros hang out. not too many people freebord here, but i can tell you its not exactly the same but its pretty close to snowboarding.
