I'm thinking of getting a Micro Kickboard. I'd like to be able to pump on it as well as push. Does anyone know if this is possible? Also, I'd be interested to hear anything you have to say about kickboards as there isn't much info on the net.
On a Kickboard you have often a nice flex and its great to push, but it is not a great thing to pump on it. Ive driven a K2 Kickboard for a long time. It's nice but would never trade against any longboard...you know what i mean...?

I know what you mean
I have a Blackkross Tricky that I wouldn't trade for anything, especially not a kickboard!
But... I alternate between longboard and scooter for my daily commute. The scooter is always used when it rains... or even snows !
I'm interested by the kickboard so that I can cut out the scooter as much as possible... I've had enough of pushing! I want to pump as much of my jouney as I can.
When you say "not a great thing to pump on", does that mean that some pumping is possible?

no...i never realy tried hard but i dont see any ways to pump it like for example my shlong with C2/CX Carver...this board is very mobile and a great pumper...
it is not that agile and stable?? enoug with 3 wheels

Ok, thanks for the great info. It's difficult to find opinions on kickboards, so your advice is worth alot!
Would you say that it's better (more efficient or faster) to push on a kickboard compared to a scooter ? My scooter is the Micro Flex :
i can not realy say what "setup" is the fastes in pushing. But i would say that i Kickboard with nice big wheels is better to push, specialy there are three wheels on it.
with this third wheel a kickboard is much more stable then a scooter like yours.
On a scooter i was often afraid of falling down. It is also too small and lightweight for me (190cm/85kg)
more questions?

Interesting that you say kickboards are better siuted to large people than scooters are. I'm 187cm/90kg so I'll take it into consideration! Having said that, my scooter is a bit of a tank.
I like the idea of having three wheels in the rain. On the scooter I have to be careful not to slip.
Last question then,
Which kickboard would you recommend, K2, Micro, City roller ...?
