Default Dirt surfer Questions

Where is some good sites to look at dirt surfers?
Or anything about building one?

I was thinking about maybe making a Gas powered dirt surfer. It would have more power, and last longer. Then still get great gas millage.

Then a mount maybe for my longboard. lol

I put an electric hub motor in mine and it was pretty good for cruisin` around town.

The down side was that in order for it to go fairly fast on the flats I had to torque out the motor so much that it wouldn`t go uphill. The battery pack was also a pain in the arse.

I canned it all and now just do wind powered stuff. A 4-6metre kite and a big open area is lots more fun than the motor ever was.

Get on the Dirsurfer forum in the US. or OZ and talk with any of the crew there about what you want to do.

Yeah I thought electric would be a little pain.

Especially if you wanted to travel any long distance. So I think instead of that just put on a gas motor. Like a good weed whacker motor, and you can always fill up at a gas station on the way.

Yeah, I'll have to check them out. What would the site be?

a powered version of a dirtsurfer is similar to a wheelman bushpig, look that up.
