Lets say you made a schlong out of a street deck, by which I mean cutting out small parts of each side of each tail, and rode daily, how long would a shlongboard be expected to last?
FOREVER
as long as you treat it right
I've seen living and kickin' banana's from 70's riding on trucks and wheels nearly as old
my shlong is on Indys and is thus pretty low... I have a couple gouges on it from speedbumps, and at the rate it's being ridden in the rain and snow and sleet I'll get a year out of it, or more. (probably more)

probably as long as any other skateboard... just don't use it as a trampoline, and take care of the hardware and stuff. i ride mine all the time at night around campus, but i try to avoid puddles, and i wipe the wheels/bearings once a week or so.

well lets say per day... around 5 miles... Not that I ride that often but just to get some sort of idea for how long a schlong would last.
What about the trucks? What kind of trucks do you use?
Thanks!
I've had one for a few years now, should last a very long time, if you're not just trampolining on it all the time, it does have some mad flex. I've setup with seismics on one, and with an indy rear / randal 160 front on another. I'd play a little with wedging because for most trucks, the kicknoses are wedged too steep.
i got the street deck 7 years ago. rode it as such for ~2, then it got garaged. I drilled it as a schlong sometime in august or september, and its still going good.
although it kinda needs to be retired... but thats the great thing. i can just buy a house blank for $34, drill and sand it myself. its a bargain, and its custom.

my friends cracked right down the middle the first day he made it. it was a really old, water logged skateboard though.
im the "friend" hes talking about here,
im my experiences with making two shlongs out of old weathered popsicle decks, they seems like they're really really fun set ups, just remember a few things if you want yours to last a long time.
