non electronic. i want to build a one . just a board with one wheel mounted in the middle.
maybe 8 to 12" pnumatic. i unicycle so it just seems a logical next step.

it'd be next to impossible to push, leaving you with no way to propel yourself besides going down a hill. I'd probably use it as a balance trainer thing.
One wheeled board? Interesting...could be fun. You would need some crazy balance skills and a hill. Or with footstraps, you might be able to generate some motion on flatland.
Remove the front wheel of this Grassboard (below) and you have a prototype 16" one-wheeler. It would be cool to try with a 12" bike wheel maybe even something smaller.
i drew a mockup of it today need to get some hardware before I begin building.
the magic wheel or gaus wheel commercial has to be the dumbest looking thing ive seen all day. neat idea

[quote=sk8norcal;1297127017]there was a strange mountainboard I saw a long time ago,
three wheels inline, but bigger center wheel, (that he balance on ?)
don, you out there?
Hung,
I know the one your talking about. It was a homemade set-up by a guy named "Tox". He was originally from Chicago, and rode a bicycle out to the west coast for the 1999 Dirtboarding Championships. In '99 his first set-up had only one wheel. He had a hard time on the course, but entered the Big Air comp (3 consecutive jumps) and did pretty good. In 2000 at the Nationals is when he had the 3 wheel in-line mountainboard. Design and construction of his boards were unique and impressive. If I get time, I'll try to find some old photos.

My suggestion? Join the circus! You'll meet cool peeps, learn new tricks on a one wheeled board, and your parents can finally turn the basement in to that den they've always wanted.
