I have a decision to make and its not a easy one
If you have any advice for me go ahead I really need it
For a longboard im thinking KS boards are the cheapest and the best
from what ive read people say they have a superb sliding and carving abilities
Mountain boards seem useful but are they street capable as well?
i do want to carve and occasionally cruise...
Flowboards look amazing and would probably be a good choice as well
they have a higher angle because of the 14 wheels so that would be cool for carving
which one should i buy, im kinda novice...not a complete newbie though
ive skated before and went down hills and such, my friend lets me use his sector 9 sometimes
but i want my own board, ive done tons of research to narrow it down to these choices
basically what i want is to go on mediocre hills, carve and cruise as well as do some tricks
Kracked skulls is a great first board for cruizing and some hills... Tricks it wont be ideal for as it has no kick tail... But its possible, tons of people do tricks on there loaded's...
A mountain board will not be good on a regular road for cruizing, if you get one id use it for what its maid for.
Flowboard is fun from what I have read, however it is slow, and I would definitely try before you buy.
flowboards are novelty items that imo that lose their fun very quickly, they are slow, not fun to push and i dunno, just slow and boring.
Mountainboards are a pain to push around (sorta) they are very bulky and have bindings and really not meant for cement.
KS are awesome boards, especially for a beginner, from what you said I would get a ks (it's also like $300 cheaper).
That said, I wouldn't necessary rule out mountain boarding as something to get into. I tried it twice and it was super fun even though I got somewhat messed up. It's something meant for dirt though, not cruising around.
Get a longboard. Start riding and having FUN. I would only recommend a mountainboard if you have some cool dirt terrain near you. Mountainboards require a higher skill level for concrete and asphalt surfaces. Its much better for beginners to start on a board for the purpose its designed for.
I've ridden a flowboard before, and it felt more like a 'toy' than a skateboard. I haven't ridden a KS before, but I think a longboard would be better for you.
