Use the search function first and last because all your going to get is personal opinion as everybody on here likes different kinds of equipment. For example i would suggest you get a top mount like the Bombsquad Agent Orange and put some Indys and Cult Classics but i guarantee you will get wildly different opinions from other members such as drop decks.

Here is the search function: http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/search.php

Directly to the right, click on the dropdown menu and select "search titles only"
    Press "search"
There are 117 threads that have the words 'freeride board' in the title.

Do a little research on your own, and once you get an idea for what's out there and what you might like then we can help narrow down the boards you've chosen.

I highly recommend any loaded board. You will get heaps of people telling you that they are the worst board you can buy but they are great for free riding. I think loaded dervish would suit you the best or maybe the tan tien

Well, yes. You can't go around recommending things willy nilly, because not everything will work.

okay, you just joined the fish and you have no idea about longboards. that's okay but do not give advice if you only have your knowledge from youtube videos.

it's funny that you think the dervish would suit best. i will tell you why this is probably the worst option for a freeriding board:

    1. (too much) camber: you don't want to be too far away from the ground. if you are near to the ground, sliding is easier. the chance of sliping away with your foot is also high.

    2. way too much flex: you have to go fast for those standies. if you go fast on a really flexy deck, the flex will almost through you off the board. a really flexy board also lacks of controll when you go fast.

    3. no enough concave: you need a pretty amount of concave for freeriding/sliding, otherwise you will also slip away with your foot. some gnarly grip can help but can't compensate weak concave.

    4. the grip: the dervish comes with some cleargrip which isn't really durable. the grip is also not gnarly enough.

    soo please!!
do your homework, use the search function and get some real life experience before you give a bad advice to people!

We didn't say it could not be done.....but what we are saying is that it's not the most favorable board for such applications.

there are sooo many options out there, just look for a board with a good amount of concave, just a little flex, no camber.
if you like DT boards, go for it, if you like a dropped board, that's fine. but you can also shred on a TM board.

the concave is most important IMHO, you don't want to slip away with your feet during those standies.
