    I second DeathMetalPanda. The Ollie.
I've got it pretty consistent on an 8.5. All I need now is to get more height (which will come with more practice I know)
But trying an ollie on anything bigger than a standard skate deck seems insurmountable to me. I feel hopeless (and hopless) trying to get my Shaka airborne via ollie. I can shuv it pretty good, I can half cab it pretty good, but I can't get that ollie!
Once I ollie the shaka, it's on to my SF Throwback.

Oh, and kickflipping the Shaka. I can get like half of the trick down now. All i need is that Ollie and I think it will become much easier.
    Go play skateboards

    Skate the 505

    I like to play Photography!

There really is nothing above a stylish, reliable, fast and high ollie.

I've never seen a backside G-turn. I don't really care about doing them, I just wanna see one.

As for what I dream of mastering: ollies and big toeside checks.

It has a lot to do with the size of the tail in my experience. I can ollie my friend's EW Crewzer pretty easily, and that's 38" board.
*to clarify, yes, I can ollie pretty consistently, but it's almost always a really weak, low ollie.
