What do people think of the comet galaxy's sleeves as a freeride deck? With 215/169 indys, possibly a redrilled longer wheelbase and some yellow fat frees it could work pretty well, right? Or is it not really that optimal?

Just wondering cos it seems like a sweet deck and I just watched the vid on comet page on the galaxy's sleeves and that guy absolutely shreds on his!

    roggs rumrunner
    indy 215s
    bigzigs
red venom barrels and 86a retro cones.

indy 215s dropped turn as much as 42 randals dropped thru, and no hangerbite. this setup is awesome.

edit: it also sits not even 2 inches off the ground.

ive heard it flexes a lot. you could definitly do it but it might not be ideal if your going like 30+. definitly looks sick.

I just emailed them and they replied saying they could make a custom which will have stiffness comparable to there downhill decks (for extra cost of course).

So I'm stoked! I think it'll be sweet!

    Anyone else have thoughts?

that sounds awesome. depends on your height i guess, but drilled to a 28" wheelbase would be SICK.

I've retired the FSM for my Madrid. If I want to slip I'll run Smokers and if I want to grip I'll run Road Rages or InHeats.

Both wheels are sick for sliding. I tossed the durians on and thrashed them a little today. Much faster/smoother ride than the hawgs. but so far the hawgs slide way nicer But are stupid slow. It will be a battle between the two for riding time.
