You mean WAY different aside the gas pedals on the sides? In what?
The concave on the Drop Speed is already perfect for me...

The concave doesn't feel the same at all. Also there is 1/2" of rocker on the 9Two5 Vs. the light camber on the Drop Speed. Both have "Double U" however it's lighter on the 9Two5. The rails are shaped different as the 9Two5 has more of an hour glass shape, whereas the Drop Speed is straight. It just feels different.

My 925 feels just fine and I'm 185. No bounce, really not flexy.

Like Goneja said, it's just a dampening kinda give. It's not a flex like a Loaded deck or one of the Landyachtz bamboo decks.

My 9two5 arrived in the mail today. Still waiting on trucks which come next friday. I'll be writing another review of it for everybody in the within the next 2 weeks so keep an eye out for that. I will say it looks absolutely gorgeous.

    The setup is:
    9two5 Deck
    Indy Hybrid Trucks
    86a Mangotang Durions
    DBS Bearings

The Dually is a birthday present for my best friend.

Would you guys say the drop speed is stronger than the 9two5 as a downhill board, or not?

I would say the 9to5 would be a much more stable downhill board. rocker as opposed to camber.

thats what i was thinking...my only other deck (besides a crappy shlongboard) broke, so i went from wanting a second deck to needing one, and i was wondering if the dropspeed has any definite advantages over the 9two5 besides the price point. obviously they're both gonna be great decks, but the one that would be more capable for dh is the one i'd choose

whatever i get is gonna be set up with 50* 180 RIIs and some dh/freeride wheel

I would say they are both good for DH, but both have a different feel. The rocker of the 9Two5 will give you a little more turn and a more cradled feel in the corners, and you could run your trucks just a little tighter and still maintain a great turn ability. With the Drop Speed you have a slight camber so it will not turn as well, but the differences are negligible because truck/bushing setups vary so much. However if I was picking a deck for an all around experience I would go with the 9Two5 because it would be better for pushing around and freeride. Everyone will have a different opinion but I think the 9Two5 is a bit superior. I did some faster DH runs yesterday. The deck is very stable. I have it set up with 50º Randals now instead of 42º and with a 87a Venom Elims on the bottoms (board side) and 87a Venom barrels on top. It turns so great and has amazing rebound and stability.

thanks for the loads of great feedback! sounds like I'm still going with the 9two5.

Not really a good question. It will spark controversy over the similarity. Find them locally and stand on them if you can. Make a decision based on your personal likes and dislikes. For pros and cons just use the search function and read up.

That statement doesn't mean much without reason, or explanation. Are you saying symmetrical drop decks in general look awkward? The graphic, the gas pedals, the concave? Please elaborate what is awkward looking to you.

tell me about the nose and tail. it is about fsm nose sized? or closer to drop speed size... if it's very shovit functional then it's decidedly my next board. if not, then i'm going with the switch or loki...
