    Default LBL double-kick penguin

    New board featured in this video (which is quite good if you haven't seen it):

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBJT9GcrLnM]YouTube - Longboarding: The Road Never Ends[/ame]

    It looks rad.

    yeah, on the site it says they are coming soon. this kid must be shredding a prototype(amazingly). honestly, seeing this make me want to topmount my moray. i like that it doesnt show much flex which is always a good quality to me and it seems extremely versatile. it will probably be my first lbl board unless my voodoo dies for whatever reason and i end up getting a sea calf.
    hey, my post is up there^^

    To quote Hutton (in the comments on the video) "Its not out yet but larry is working hard to get it done. It will be done soon. sick ass board by the way."

    Regardless, I kinda want one.

    It's weird, I've been very oddly attracted to a lot of things having to do with penguins lately...

    The double kick penguin has been ridden by team riders around the time the super shaka(The kick had a different shape the last time I saw it.) was out. In Oregon the first penguin first appeared about a year before it was released in the first place.

    If you download the Concrete Wave 2011 buyers guide and go to the LBL section, it shows the double kick penguin as coming soon. Its listed as being 44" long with a WB slightly smaller than the traditional penguin. Interesting trend with this, the comet ethos, the loaded whatever the replacement for the dancer is called and the EW High something or another. This juxtoposition of traditional short boarding and longboarding may be a paradigm shift for the industry but I think its just trickery to get me to buy a $150 deck with a kicktail that I will razor quickly. Time will tell.

    Kicktails are useful, I'm not surprised they're making a comeback.

    i was just about to say that. and does anyone else feel that a dropped deck that is 44" with kicks will be a little awkward feeling. those are big kicks, which might make up for the length, but i feel like its just a really odd combo.

    It is quite a trend. The new Never Summer Revolt looks pretty similar too but it is dropped through. It also has ptex in the nose and tail so it might not razor as fast:
