Anyone else pumped for the Bustin Sojourn V2?
Never had a version 1 but it looked perfect for city cruising and since thats what i do the most lately i feel i need to get one. Anyone have ideas for setups for the old sojourn that should work well?

Re: Anyone else pumped for the Bustin Sojourn V2?
I had the first version and loved it to death until my tastes changed to a longer board. Now that I have a komodo I think I'd like to hop on a shorter board again and this is definitely the one I'll get.

The first version was 33" but I'm not sure if that has changed or not.

Re: Anyone else pumped for the Bustin Sojourn V2?
I hope it's light as hell with big enough cutouts to keep it low with Indys and a solid tail.
I want a board that can carve hard and fly high.
Indy 169's with 62-66mm 85a-ish wheels.

I figured this was more of a mini-superglider.
What do you think?

Re: Anyone else pumped for the Bustin Sojourn V2?
I'm stoked for any new Bustin product. I am currently in the market for a shorter board that myself and my girlfriend could just use for short commutes so maybe this will fit the need.

Re: Anyone else pumped for the Bustin Sojourn V2?
I have the original sojourn that I use for a small distance commuter/pumper right now. Honestly, I'm not really in love with the thing. The custom graphic had a lot of sloppy flaws when I bought it, more than I would consider "character" (and trust me I'm a big fan of things having character). The graphic also has tons of crack in the paint after about a year of riding and will probably start to flake soon; that being said though overall it does look nice and that is not my main concern with the board.
My front foot feels nice in the concave and full width of the deck, but where I place my backfoot it is way too narrow and has little to no concave. Also wheelbite has always been a pretty big concern for me with 70mm wheels, and what's the fun of a short board if you don't run the trucks dangerously turney?
I'm being harsh though, it has and does serve me very well as a commuter, and it dampens road vibrations superbly.

I think your easy solution is a set of 66mm wheels or smaller. Concave on the back foot is much much less necessary than on the front foot since you do your steering with the front foot.

Re: Anyone else pumped for the Bustin Sojourn V2?
There are several pics of prototypes in Bustin's photo album, it's looking pretty sick. It's looking longer than the old one, there's a pic of one next to an old sojourn and a spliff

Re: Anyone else pumped for the Bustin Sojourn V2?
learn how to ollie?!
I mean, In my opinion, you should be able to ollie before you longboard. Just me. Of course I street skated for 12 years before I started longboarding
I have a bunch of skateboards
Isn't this what you're supposed to put in a signature?

Saw a prototype over the weekend and it looks sick, definitely going to pick one up when they are ready.

First two photos in that one, it's the one with the obvious bustin grip tape job that isn't any shapes they currently have out.

Last photo in this album, but this one might actually be a strike.
You can see they've completely redesigned the shape and it looks a lot like a mini vanguard or a shorter non-drop strike.
