    Default Sector 9 ana moana

Im about to buy a new board. carving, cruising and campus compatible is what i need and want. I've been lookin at the ala moana from sector 9. Im not the biggest sector 9 fan, but i think its looking pretty decent. specially because of the size (31,75"), the gullwing sidewinder trucks and the prize (159$).
    What do you think?

that looks good for what you want to do you might want to look for aboard with a kicktail if you need to get over curbs. sidewinders are fun trucks and they do have a place

a lot of people will tell you that sidewinders are unstable and that everything s9 is crap.

its actually a pretty sick board, ive ridden my friends and it gives a good flex and can be really turny. plus u can stand it straight up with the sidewinder trucks.

if your looking at a board like the ala mona that has sidewinders from s9 look at the 'of the wall 2' or the' reflections2 ' i think it is called.it has sidewinders and has a small kicktail but big enough for curbs.

Thumbs up Re: Sector 9 ana moana

I have this board. I just bought the deck and then put on some invader trucks (the really wide ones) and some kryptonics 65mm wheels. It works great, I love the board. It's nice b/c you can pick up the board by the truck and it won't drag on the ground. I use it in the city in SF where I most likely am bringing it into a bar. The board is small enough that I can usually find a place to tuck it away. It's also great for cornering b/c of the short distance between the trucks, but yet, the trucks being as close to the nose as possible make it still ride smooth. I feel like the bamboo is getting more flex each time I ride it.

Here's my question, I don't have the sidewinder trucks - my trucks are short so they are close to the board, and I need a new wheel that won't bite. The 65mm work well, but I need something with more grip, a wider wheel like the abec gumballs, but small enough to fit this setup. Any suggestions?
