Longboard Skateboard Reviews and ComparisonsWant to review a longboard, decide what you think about deck or get someones opinion on a board you are looking to buy.
Yeah, but the stepped shape provides a lot of restriction even in the 82a durometer. Did you honestly think I didn't know that?
To add on to the already restrictive shape of jimz and the floppy like properties of the bushing, the crail bushing seat is pretty damn restrictive as well.
And it resorts to name calling. Yeah I'm a total idiot. sorry to anyone who's reading this thread looking for info on a great board company called Bustin. Sorry that haters who have no experience with their boards might make you change your mind about investing in a great product. Your hampster plays tennis? WTF does that even mean?

I've ridden one. Didn't have bears. Only person I see hating is you. The Bustin Strike wasn't that good. I mean, yeah it is a skateboard, but it wasn't tits. I think their are better boards out there. The tail was un-functional to me.As far as the bushing thing, gut some 85a and 81a barrels. Loose trucks saves lives.

see the thing with bustin boards is that they are freestyle/city riding oriented. i had a chance to meet and have a push race with a lot of the dudes from bustin. its really all preference. wedging and dewedging, concave, bushings (though jimz + crails =/= carve city) all of that is preference. i personally like the strike even though the concave is a lil awkward for me. i havnt ridden the other boards yet but if you have your trucks tightened enough and with the right bushings you could bomb on a strike.... wouldn't be my first choice but its possible. that said, you have to ride one to know and u can't bash other people (cough backwoodsbullshitter cough)

i rode a complex and it just felt kinda bed, the flex wasn't good, the shape wasn't comfy, it just all kinda felt off. Much better boards out there. The crails still make no sense to me, theyre fairly rigid dh truck so why would you ever put them on a cruising deck is beyond me
Noob error. im keeping them tho so my next setup dosent need new trucks
I absolutely HATE loaded boards and i will never own one they have no concave, i dont like flexy boards, and i dont like the camber BUT even though i dont like them i know that they make awesome boards and i can respect that company.
No concave? loaded boards have considerable concave, the only think that ever made me not like loaded is that a flex 1 dervish is not desighed for some one who is 135lbs, (flex1 dervish recommended weight: 170-220) but other than that they are fun boards. and to quote my sig, they are all just pieces of wood with 4 wheels, turn off you computer and go skate!

Alright I don't know what the deal is with the strike but I do know about the Complex. Its takes some getting used to but its a seriously good board. I use mine mostly for cruising and carving and I didn't get it complete from Bustin I just got the deck. I set mine up with Randals and 4pres. The board is good tho and I'd recommend it.
If anyone disagrees with my opinion let it be known. I wont argue with it. Your opinion is true to you.
Despite my lack of experience on a bustin, i do see and hear alot about the lack of quality in some of their products. Thats gotta say something, unless everyone played spin the hate bottle and it just so happened to land on bustin boards all the time.

Well and other times it lands on Original. Both favorites for hate. Both are quality products so I'm not sure why.

and even on loaded just because of the fanboys.
i think that their stuff is quality for the type of rider. if you come from a surfing back ground i know alot of people who like original and s9 sidewinders. if you come from a shortboard back ground and your in the city bustin is a favorite at times.
but everything is preference and up to the rider. you don't know until you try

Had a strike(also have owned Loaded-Vanny flex3, Pintail, Ceviche'). It was fun, it took some getting used to. The rear wedging it retarded(dewedged back to 0*, much better). I wasn't impressed with the finish of the board out of the box, it needed sanding in the cutouts to allow the trucks to fit nicely. Riding was good but it was too narrow and short for any fun at a decent speed(bombing garages). I set it up with randals and big-zigs so I've nothing to say about the Crail trucks..the kick-tail was too narrow, at least for my Fred Flintstone wide foot to appreciate it. current owner(EliTheCaptain) love it, rides it a whole lot and says he might even buy another one eventually. I think the Ceviche' would make a great drop-through of this type, no wedging issues, big ole' nose a tail...But, alas the Ceviche' I had was for a mag review so it's since gone to other riders....Bottom line, Strike is a niche' board, like it or lump it. The best thing anyone who's concerned about it could do is ride before you buy...Now where is that Kebbek I've been dreaming of?

right now for me it looks like I'm either grabbin a glider or a sojourn next. I know someone with a glider so I'm capable of trying that out but the sojourn isn't something I have access too (short of a 4 hour drive) so I'm a bit uncertain over what to spend my sparse money on. Hell I can't even decide if I want to keep or sell my FSM in favor of a new board.
That said though no one has given a good reason to say they're bad. It's like with S9, good boards, but so many people add hate, which has nothing to do with the baords yet people pretend it's poor quality.
I'd say people aren't in a position to be this harsh about stuff they've never ridden.
Yeah I met a guy who seems to ride gravity exclusively. They seem like some fun stuff and if I wanted to set up a slide/pool specific deck that's probably what I'd turn to, but I'm focusing my currently commute oriented style.
