They make cool graphics, I personally do not enjoy their decks because they just feel sub-par. They also sell/sold Crail trucks with their decks which is absolutely retarded so I lost a bit of respect for them there. I also hate the wedging that they insist on putting on all of their decks, just doesn't feel that great. They're also a bit too narrow (especially the Strike). But they are overall good boards, I just don't like them myself.

And all that while hyping Mike Dallas in yer sig. For shame!

Totally agree about the crails thing. I suspect Bustin specs them for their cruisers and carvers because they are so damn pretty. But who knows.

Both of my boards are Bustin. I use a Sojourn and a Strike. My friend uses a Strike and a Complex. If you have a question about any of those three boards PM me and I'll answer them.

I rather like my Bustins but some people don't like the shape of the decks and their wedging. I've found myself partial to both so its all preference.

I stood on a Complex and a Spliff at my local store.

TBH, I wasn't impressed at all. They have the concave all wrong, and they were kind of awkward to stand on. The spliff felt just......like cheap...and not durable at all...just had that plasticy cheap feeeling to it.

    they look ok though.....

I gotta say I love my strike, with randals and, purple otang durians. Great for commuting, the wedging and camber of the board makes it really easy to push and push hard. The kicktail is very handy for dropping off curbs. Nice carving with soft bushings, and the tangs make it easy to bust a slide whenever I want.

i rode a complex and it just felt kinda bed, the flex wasn't good, the shape wasn't comfy, it just all kinda felt off. Much better boards out there. The crails still make no sense to me, theyre fairly rigid dh truck so why would you ever put them on a cruising deck is beyond me

Whoa! Why you guys gotta hate on bustin? The wedges are functional and so is the shape fools. I will however agree that the spliff and te cigar are a waste of time... The spliff is boring and the cigar wheel bites like crazy... But my strike and sojourn v2 are amazing, and how can you say they feel "cheap" or "plastic" when they are made out of Canadian maple? The strike has 8 layers and the sojourn has 7... Strong as heck. "oh I stood on one once and it felt cheap" well I ride one everyday and I feel stoked. 50mph on my strike is easy, and so is spending under 120 bucks for a quality piece of highly functional art. If you want to be like everyone else? buy a loaded or a EW or a gravity, or heck even a sector nine piece of junk. Personally I think loaded makes great boards and so do EW and gravity, but they are so specialized in each deck for what they are "made for" that the appeal of a board by bustin that can do everything well is a huge plus... I mean loaded doesnt even make a board meant to go faster than 30-35mph...So next time you pass judgment why not ride it for a week or two and try to understand the reason they make the board the way they do.

P.s. Crails are great and very tuneable, try some Jimz bushings and a new spec8 axle, and welcome to carve city.

Great trucks. I see no reason to hate them at all. Not a fan of the moogs but the trucks themselves look good and function well.

I've ridden them quite a bit on my buddies Strike.

Ahhh the piercing odor of fail....

    1. 50 mph on your strike is easy.....not even going to comment.

    2. Be like everyone else? Maybe be smart and buy a functional board that rides well.

    3. Neither does Bustin..... i guess you're that good that you can go 50 on a strike!

    4. Crails with jimz are very turnable? carve city? yeah, maybe if you're 300 lbs+...

    So much fail.

    edit: to the irrationalist:

I had a chance to stand on a pair of crails for a few minutes. the quality was unremarkable...i'm trying to get a set right now. other than my "at a first glance" view, these trucks are supposed to be one of the most versatile trucks in ever. and i could imagine why; 45* baseplate is perfect. Just change your bushings and you could have an indestructible DH truck or a steezy leany freeride truck. but they're definitely not "carve city". not in the least bit...

i personally think that bustin makes great boards and everyone can eat a dick if you dont like that they offer crails with their boards, they are just giving the buyer another truck option. Crails are great trucks and with the correct bushing set up (i ran 86 reflex barrel bottom and 83 reflex barrel top) they really are pretty carvey and very nice trucks.
Everyone likes a different style board and just because you dont like one companies boards does not mean that they are crappy.
I absolutely HATE loaded boards and i will never own one they have no concave, i dont like flexy boards, and i dont like the camber BUT even though i dont like them i know that they make awesome boards and i can respect that company.

Can I post videos on here? Cause I could just post the vidz of myself being clocked at 47mph on my strike to shut you longboard snobs up once and for all, and the only reason I recomend the jimz is because people say the stock bushings feel "dead." So I guess I just have a question for you... Ever ridden a strike on flipped bears? Wait I know the answer, it's no. Ever actually ridden a bustin at all? Wait... That's a no too. So how can you obnoxiously scoff at the fact that I can shred my strike with ease? Hater.

Feel free to post videos of you zooming 50 on your strike with flipped bears, which feel like absolute #### to me by the way.

Jimz are restrictive bushings. You said they were "carve city". Why would you put jimz in your crails if you wanted to be in said "carve city"?

I have ridden a bustin complex, and i have ridden the spliff and strike around the local store. both felt like #### under my feet. concave was strange and lacking in the back, and the crazy camber just felt terrible.

feel free to post videos of said "shredding".

Jimz do come in different durometers bro (softer/harder)
And as soon as I get home and on my computer (on me iPhone at the moment) I will gladly post some vids of "said shreding." haha you play tennis.

My hamster plays tennis you moron.

Yeah, but the stepped shape provides a lot of restriction even in the 82a durometer. Did you honestly think I didn't know that?

To add on to the already restrictive shape of jimz and the floppy like properties of the bushing, the crail bushing seat is pretty damn restrictive as well.
