    Default Flexdex wheelbite

alright... so i just finally finished fixing up my flexdex pro 60. i threw on some paris 180 and lime retro f/r and took it out for a spin. carved a bit, ate ####

...so i threw on a 1/4" riser. started carving around and it was smooth sailing. so i decided to cross-step on it. on my second step, ate some more ####

more or less i feel defeated. any help???

haha true. i always ride my trucks as loose as i can. pretty much only to wear i cant loosen it with my fingers any more. i know it's a simple answer, just sucks because it's more money to spend.

    probably not..

honestly, your wheels are just too big to run loose trucks and still have a comfortable ride height

wheels/bushings/risers... somethings GOT to give, you just have to decide what

The ability to turn/carve is much more important than a bigger wheel.

i wish, i could probably find somewhere to do that. maybe i'll try stacking my 1/4in and 1/2in riser pads and see what happens until i get the wheelbite problem worked out

that's pretty much my thought process. right now my trucks are partially tightened to keep me from biting, but its killing me. the board's got so much potential haha

The Paris's aren't doing you any favors because they have the axle farther back than any other longboard style truck and the cutouts in the Fat Daddy are very far forward. If you look at the marks on your deck from when it bit, they are probably on the very back edge of the cutout. With Paris trucks the cutouts may as well not be there (been there done that) the Fat Daddy cutouts were designed to work with old school standard trucks that have the axle in front of the bushing.

Randals are a bit better than Paris's on the Fat Daddy because they don't have the axle quite as far back but Indy's or Trackers will be best because the put the axle even farther forward which will send the wheels properly into the cutouts when you carve.

Also, you will need to go to a 1/2" spacer no matter what truck you go with unless you're willing to go to a tiny wheel. Personally I think the Fat Daddy looks ridiculous with any wheel smaller than 70 and sort of defeats the purpose of a big ol' cruiser
