    Default Clutch Cameltoe (Toecutter) Review

Well I figure I've had my camel toe (9 ply with formica) for about 4 months and most of that time its been my primary board so I think I can write up a decent review about now. Right now it's set up on aeras and smokers but before i rode it on paris trucks. I guess I'll start with the looks cause thats the first thing you'll see. Great craftsmanship on it as I'm sure you all already know, the formica is a cool finish you don't really see on any other boards I mean i guess thats about it, not really worth going into that anymore.

When you first step on the board the first thing you'll notice is the concave on this board is insane. The width is somewhere between 9.5-10" I don't really know exactly and its got just enough flat for your foot rest when its straight ahead and youre pushing then it just gets super steep. I know alot of people who find this too steep but personally I love it, I think it gives me lots of leverage and really locks me. I've also had a bunch of people step on this board and instantly say I love this concave i need this board so I guess its a love or hate it kind of deal. One of my favorite aspect of the concave being so steep is I can really rail a turn just by walking my toes up to the rail and just stomping it. Last weekend I was at a hairpin session and i had no problem weighting the rail and getting through it. At the same time the concave also makes this a great "aggressive carver" i guess is how I've heard it put. You get so much leverage that its so easy to just whip it around everywhere and those toe cut outs that I'm yet to mention are great for locking your back foot in for some even harder carves.

The toe cut outs are really cool, they don't seem like it'd make a huge difference but when you lock your foot into it it really helps you unweight the back to throw it around, you kind of have to try one to realize how awesome they are. I also think theyre nice to kind of keep your foot in the right position and i put my hand in them if i'm grabbing rail.

I guess i kind of delved into how it rides when i was describing the concave. Basically its just a board thats meant to be ridden really aggressively, thats what its designed for and its the best board I've ever ridden for that (I do also ride it to class and cruise on it but thats just cause i like it so much)

As for the durability of these boards, theyre built like tanks, I've curbed mine to hell and back and the nose got one crack which didn't even make it from the cut out to the tip of the nose. On top of that i contacted rus about it and he said if it was any problem with the board he'd set me straight, so i mean even on the off chance you can do anything to damage his boards he's right on top of it. Its by the far the most durable board I've ever ridden (my kebbek dented easier than this board and those things are tanks)

I hope that was a decent description for people, I just kind of wrote it up off the top of my head, if you've got any questions just ask and I'll do my best to answer them. I'll try and get pictures up by the end of today.

It's been a pleasure to read a nice and long review of a board i've been drooling over so long. Good job.

What about posting some pics now?

i have to agree with everything you said. i have a jailbait, and i absolutely love it. i used mine for dh for a few months and it was insane. then one day i had the idea to slap some indys on it and now its my freeride board. the concave + the cutouts really help you kick out those 15ft+ standup slides. get one.

I'm patiently awaiting the arrival of some hybrids to throw on my toecutter. I can't wait!

    @Brain Smoothie,

It is a comfortable controllable hill-killer that is easy to push.

Got me a Carbon Jailbait (37" version of the 40" Toecutter) in the mail a few days ago.

    This thing shreds!

Been riding a Lambchop for freeride/DH. Super smooth standups, very much in control.

The Jailbait however, is something different.

I realized I have been doing extended speedchecks on the Lambchop. 100% smooth, but not really holding them out straight like I used to.

The Jailbait just slides everywhere, but its fully in control. The toecuts make predrifts and toeside standups a breeze

Got it set up on Ace Hybrids and my practically cored 49mm 81mm bomb hills. Picking up a set of slide Bs for it soon.

So yeah... Clutch is just the ****.
    Boards breh:
Comet Voodoo XL (OG shape) - 50* Calibers
Carbon Surf Finish Clutch Jailbait - Crails or Paris
Incline Fro Pick - Ace 66
    Comet Shred 35 - Indy 169s

    Not set up:
    Galac GTCPLDP
    Loaded Dervish

$70 + shipping for each?? PM me!
