Default Getting into dh Rayne Nemesis vs Landyachtz evo different setups???

    Hey,

So i have a Landyachtz drop carve at the moment and was looking into getting a separte just for dh seshs. I need a board that can commute a bit to get to the spots and be able to carve a bit just to keep things fun . Price range is about $400 give or take so everything helps espescially if anyone has had experience with either of these boards.

    Thanks

i think my personal favorite setup would be nemisis with a 42 randall back and 50 front 83a barrel reflex bushings and orange for presidents
Longboarding's all I know and I got to do something

Heck, for $400 get a Dee-lite Nemesis or Demonseed!

me friwend has an evo with white jim-z's it does not turn at all even with 52* plates, although we only weigh like 90lbs.my guess is that the nemesis would have much better turning but have'nt ridden it

If you are looking for a mainly DH board that can also handle some freeriding, I would just go ahead and get the Demonseed over the Nemesis. It is big and heavy, but can shred up the streets just fine.

That said, the Nemesis can be set up to handle DH very well too, and has the perks of being lighter and smaller, with a shorter--carvier--wheelbase. I ride a dropped through Nemesis and love freeriding it, but would not hesitate to take it DH.

The Evo, of course, is a DH racing favorite. Rode one the other night that was set up for mainly carving--and I liked it.

I have heard nothing but good things about the Clutch Deeznuts, and am considering one myself. Apparently it is nothing less than badass for DH, freeriding, sliding, and carving. Relatively cheap too...heck with your price point you could go for a sexy carbon fiber one.

Bottomline, you can't really go wrong with any of these. Everybody likes a different board for different reasons, so we cannot tell you which one is best for you. But I bet you would be pleased with any of the ones that you or myself has mentioned, among many other choices not mentioned. Sorry for the 'non-answer', but I hope it helped you gather some information.

you guys should start a new sport: tandem longboarding, 2 on the board

90+90=180, just about what i weigh and the evo and neme both ride perfect

Addendum: My "Nemiseed" runs 75mm BigZigs no problem, and is about as close to the ground as the Demonseed; lower if I flip the hangers. That is pretty damn low, so you might consider it.

Whether something turns is dependant mostly on how your bushings are set up. There are a few other variables one needs to consider, but bushings are the big thing in turability.
