bustin sojourn or apex 37?

I know the boards have completely different flex styles, but I'm just looking for something to commute with. main thing I'm wondering about is if the sojourn would be a better deal, since I would have a complete for about $100 less than the apex 37. what do you guys think?

The sojourn (all of Bustin's boards) are meant for commuting/carving/cruising.

Hey man, this is the exact same set up that I was debating between. I am headed off to college soon and needed a board that was short, light, and carvy for class commute.

First off, nothing rides like an Original, most fun boards I've ever ridden. However, with all that awesomeness comes a lot of maintenance. In college I need a board I can just grab and go. I pulled the trigger on the Sojourn, it will come this week. I will let you know what I think of the ride when it comes.

Next board is definitely the apex though

You get what you pay for. I'm sure the bustin will be fun, but I'm loving Original trucks for commuting.


"kicktail on the sojourn will make it better for commuting." as for that comment, you wouldn't really need a kick tail on Original board because the trucks turning radius tight. I find it easy to people slalom with the original trucks. (fun too)

alright thanks for the help guys; im trying to get a board before thanksgiving since the dorms close down, and the bustin site says they'll ship it on or before the 26th, and the apex gets back in stock on monday soo..

Either way you'll get a great product. Both are excellent boards by excellent companies.

As noted above the Original trucks do take a reasonable amount of maintenance and you are likely to get lithium grease everywhere (atleast i do, maybe i'm bad).

Also the Original trucks are a little more fragile, you gotta be sure not to do anything that'll bust the wave cams, I find Randals far more durable.

yeah they def did! I've got the sojourn ordered, I just hope it gets here in time. I'll probably get an apex too though, after I get some more $$
