I have ridden the 09 Hellcat, 08 and 09 Avenger, and a Nemesis.

Nemesis is VERY wide, so if you like your toes hanging over the rail and you have small feet.. don't get it. Overall my favourite board right now though, I use it everyday.

08 Avenger - My go fast AND LDP board depending on how I have it set up. Sick board for DH.

09 Avenger - Easier to toss around under your feet than the 08 Avenger, pleasure dome feels nice with the concave. I still like the 08 better though, W-cave gets annoying after a while.

09 Hellcat - I didn't like the w-concave on this board at all when I needed to push. I've spent the least amount of time on this board.

Ofcourse it's all preference. Go to the Rayne factory in North Van and try the boards out.

If you used the search function, then you should know which board you pick is really based on preference...

eeny meeny miney moe, choose a board from your local store, if you dislike it let me know, trade it away or buy sum more.

just pick one, its the best thing to do so you can learn your likes or dislikes. people on the fish cant tell you what you will or wont enjoy about a board, its all about personal feel. choose the board you think will fit you best and go from there. heck just pick the one you think looks the coolest.

since you have a switch in your quiver, this is just an Avenger vs Hellcat discussion. i've gone through this before, i bought the 09 avenger at first.. didn't dig how high the avenger was, so i sold it, and picked the 09 hellcat.. now, my hellcat is my go-to, do-it-all board.

I will say avenger. I don't think anyone else has expressed a preference, just ridiculed you for asking the question.

The Avenger is the best board for learning on as it is a top mount. If you learn on a top mount, you will be able to DH on any other board. (drop or drop thro)

Also, the Avenger is wide at the front and narrower at the back, so you have less area to put your feet, so they naturally go into the correct place.

I have many boards, but if I'm and going for a DH session with my friends, with speeds pushing 50mph and over, I always take the Avenger. It is what I learnt to go fast on, and it's still my favourite.

Avenger with 190mm Smokies or 35 deg Randalls = DH Heaven.

i learned on a drop deck (nemesis) and now am on a top mount, did i learn the wrong way?

if you can ride DH then the truck mounting shouldnt make a difference. it comes with practice.

i really like the my 09 hellcat. its a really solid dh board. but when it comes to freeriding i find its abit too big and heavy for me (i'm pretty small sized). but i still love it! the w cave is awesome..

i've a few friends who ride the avenger as well and it's really just a topmounted version of the hellcat.

...What?! I don't think anyone is ridiculing him for asking this question. Picking one of these boards for DH is so subjective since everyone has such a personal preferance for what they like to ride. Some love a drop deck style, other's HATE it with a passion, some love topmounts, other's hate it with a passion, and so on and so forth.
