    Exclamation Heist vs. Descent

I just broke my board recently and am currently seeking a major upgrade from it. I have to buy locally and my choices are S9 and never summer. I have been looking more into never summer because of the better trucks and so on that come with the board. I am wanting a board similar to the dervish. I am wanting a heist but the descent does not look like a bad candidate either. What are your opinions?

Get the Heist, it's very similar... very similar.

    Get the Heist.

Really though... I love mine. I'd recommend it to anyone.

i second reefer. no lie, the heist is, and always will be, my favorite board to ride. the pop that the flex gives you in and out of carves is CRAZY. it's got a 10in wide platform and a nice little concave to keep you locked in. plus, it's a HUGE steal when compared to the dervish

...though i will say i've ridden a dervish and it is indeed an amazing board. i actually might purchase one in the far future

I'm 190. I probably should've gotten the power flex, but I got the classic and I love it.

It only bottoms out if I stand in the middle and give a little jump.

Anyone have any info on how the power flex Heist rides compared to the classic flex? I've tried the Decent classic flex a number of time and like it, but I have a feeling I might like the stiffer version of the Heist better. I weight 170lbs.

    Thanks!

i'm about 170, too. it never bottoms out on me unless i hippy jump and land towards the middle. honestly you'll be fine with a classic flex, just be ready for one hell of a ride =] i got it when i was still new to skating (haha still new here, only been at it for 5 months) and the flex caught me off guard. but it's totally worth it

I think the stiffer version of the heist would be best. iv ridden both boards with both flexs and thats the one i recomend. the decent just felt too springy and it just isnt going to be a board your going to want to use in a year because its very hard to do much of anything on it except bounce. hope this helps

At 130, you will have ZERO flex with a power flex.

Go with the Classic, it'll be perfect for ya, you'll love it.

I hate to disagree but I have the Heist and dislike it very much. The flex was fun when I first bought it, but after a few months it became soggy, worthless, and difficult to ride.

Not to mention the wheelbase of the Heist nears 35 inches, which is ludicrous.

    Go for the descent

i am 130 lbs and the classic flex is great for me. I do not understand how a board would get more flexy with time. I have not had mine for a very long time, but it still feels the same as when i got it.

Thanks for all your help everyone. The Power Flex Heist seems like what I'm looking for. Flexy, but not too flexy, drop-through, and great PRICE! The power flex will be better for sliding, right? My current deck is pretty stiff and slide nice, but is getting beat-up!

out of the two boards yes i would go with the powerflex heist, it will break in nicer and have a very nice flex to it and it will take more of a beating

    hahaha really?

Its wood dude. It sags over time if there is pressure on it over time. Since you weight 130 pounds, there are 130 pounds of pressure on that board every second that you stand on it. It won't change over a few days, but give it three months and see where you are.

    EDIT: post 420, is nice

ALSO EDIT: Not bashing NS products, every (wooden) board will sag over time
