concave showdown: Bombsquad slat flat vs. Fullbag topmount
yes both are extremely sexy boards
yes both are topmount
and yes they'll probably feel completely different due to materials
all i want is personal opinions of concave on both decks. ive searched far and wide but i cant find a store within my state that stocks both these boards so id just like some input.
thanks in advance

Re: concave showdown: Bombsquad slat flat vs. Fullbag topmount
I love the saltflat concave. And due to the metal construction, it'll last longer.
At the top of a hill at a very rapid speed there's only one place to go.
At the top of a hill at a very high speed there's nowhere to go but down.

Fullbag. The Saltflat rides like a block of cement.

Re: concave showdown: Bombsquad slat flat vs. Fullbag topmount
If you want a metal board go with Rogers. They have great concave but they have the static flex that offers a MUCH smoother ride.

Do you really want flex when you're going 60 - 70 mph? I think a thin shock pad is a much better means of smoothing out the ride with an aluminum deck. Anyway, this poll isn't about Rogers Brothers, so why bring it up here?
If you can't hit bottom, wear the sides out.

because its a good alternative? maybe he hadn't thought of that or something, no skin off of anyones back for him to mention it.
Can anyone say why specifically they like one or the other more or maybe get some concave shot comparison pictures? its not that helpful to just hear one is better for no reason.

Re: concave showdown: Bombsquad slat flat vs. Fullbag topmount
The concave on the saltflat is super intense. It is only really good for bombing, and hurts to push around much. I havnt had a fullbag, but the concave looks really nice. And on the note of how the BS compares to the Rbros. I like them both although the DH40 had a bit too much flex under my weight. The saltflat rides just fine and not like a block of cement if you run some shock pads.

The roger bros is much less durable than the bombsquad. And a little shock pad will get rid of any vibrations. Go bombsqaud!

Nuh-uh! It's heavy as all get out. I feel like I'm getting dragged around by it.
I just prefer wood boards, but the thread is about concave. Although I haven't stood on a Fullbag, the Salt Flat has some sort of "3-plane" thing going on. It's flat in the middle, then goes up at an angle, then up at an angle again, so instead of being round, it's like 5 lines connected into a concave shape. It feels crazy on my feet, but I could probably get used to it.

In our defense i will say that A complete Salt Flat wieghs less than an Evo, Hellcat, or D seed complete. Just so you know. The first black Salt flat was alittle steep in concave, some love it. The newer white ones are alot better as far as concave goes and the new boards that we are about to release are even better than all
they will be powder coated orange

The only one I've ridden is the black one and didn't really like it. I'd definitely be down to try out a newer one because while I didn't like the ride they were definitely solid boards. Metal boards really aren't THAT heavy. I weighed my Rogers against similar sized and set up wood boards and most of the time it was about the same, give or take half a pound,

Very nice shape Bomb Squad!
Concave on the Fullbag Topmount is a smooth radius in the middle part and ends up with gas pedals on the edges.
Here's a shot of the concave:

And additional shots of the deck:

Re: concave showdown: Bombsquad slat flat vs. Fullbag topmount
Assuming the new ones are the one at Dorian's apartment, yes, the concave is less aggresive than the Topmount on the edges, but has more gradual / progressive concave to the middle.
Either way, both will def lock your feet in.
oh, and also, both weigh almost the same.

A complete 09 hellcat weighs significantly less than a BS.

What is your definition of significantly? My BS doesnt weigh any more than any of my other completes. Which are a Pagan and a kebbek revenger. I also think the Rbros is just as durable however, it just has a bit more flex than the BS.
