Pros & Cons of the Twintips
Hi there. Since you probably don't know me, I'm new to the forum but sure as hell not new to longboarding. I'm a big fan of the twin tip, and I'll be posting the pros and cons of twin tips (only twintips) I own. Please note, these are the boards wih multiple builds, and the pros will consist of the optimal build for the situation.
To start this off, ill put up my thoughts on the Vangaurd Vs. Dervish, the two twin tips I currently still own, so its fair to only review these. I will NOT include boards I used to own or haven't tried, unless a forum member can give me a pro-con listing . I should be reviewing the apex 37 within the next 5 days, and the 34 in the next few months...
Pros of the Dervish:____________________Cons of the Dervish:
Great dancing__________________________Cant use spring trucks (Original/Seismic)
Slightly more solid flex than Vangaurd_______Less concave than Vangaurd
Great downhill
Lower towards the ground
Pros of the Vangaurd_______________________Cons of the Vangaurd
Can dance almost as well as the Dervish_______Not as stable as the Dervish high speed
Bouncier flex for pumping / carving____________Higher in relation to ground
Deeper concave
Can use spring trucks (Yahoo for carving!)
More customizable flex (1,2,3,4,5 versus 1,2)
More customizable length 38" to 42" versus 41.5"
Like previously stated, if you have ridden or ride a twintip, tell me some pro's and con's and I will include it in this post.

Re: Pros & Cons of the Twintips
The dervish is a terrible, terrible downhill board. Hit a rock going 40 and it will most likely crack. Flex and DH don't match. No duh the dervish is lower to the ground, and not everybody would call this a "pro.". And it is not great for dancing, because it is not dancing-specific. Yes, it has enough platform space to dance on, but there are better dancing boards out there. All of the information you provided is either, a) wong, or, b) obtainable from loaded's site. None of this information is useful. You may or may not be new to longboarding, but you still have a lot to learn... /rant
Anyways, for the Dervish, you could say it is easier to push because it is lower to the ground. You could also say stepping on one makes you suddenly an amazing longboarder capable of doing anything because of the cost and hype

Re: Pros & Cons of the Twintips
I'm sorry but this was pretty much useless.... this is all into you will find if you just click on it at like longboardskater.com
or even just see a picture on them, of course the dervish is lower its a drop through. and the dervish is not a speed or downhill board. yes it can be used on some downhill but its not made for that.
