from loki:
"well i can break it down line this, the roggs has built in camber and concave thus giving it a responsive flex comparably to the typical saggy flat board type flex that the majority of other dancers are, second its lighter, and more nimble due to its slightly shorter wheelbase and the fact that a more aggressive concave allows you to push harder on the edge of the board and thus turn quicker, also has same size nose and tail so when riding the board backwards you arent thrown off by the difference of length of the nose and tail"
Platy:
59" Long, 48" Wheelbase Center to Center of axle, 8.5" Wide, 6.5" wide at truck mounting locations, 4" Nose Length, 5" Tail Length
The platypus on the other hand is longer, has a bigger wheelbase, is a flat board, and doesn't have symetrical nose and tails.
I personally have a platypus and love it. The shear size blows people's minds, and it is so easy to dance on. The symmetry doesn't matter, it's easy to ride it both ways. I love having different sized kicks, some tricks are easier on the bigger one and some easier on the small. I hate dancing on concave, so the flat is perfect for me.
I've also seen pictures of a double kick, concaved, shorter dancer from legendary.
