    Default superglider v boomerang

I want a boomerang but am intrigued by the superglider's low price tag/dedicated army of followers

Anybody that has ridden both boards extensively or owns both boards have any insight?

I assume the superglider is lower?
Is the boomerang teh secks or am I just hyping myself up over this board?
Should I hold out for the boomerang (I need to get some cash) or just go for the superglider now?
    thanks

Both are topmounted. Boomerang is thinner than the Glider, therefore slightly lower when on the same trucks.

Boomerang is stiffer than a superglider?
    are you sure?

@stringtheory, I was under the assumption that a boomerang has (some) camber. Would that not make it taller?

Yes the B'rang is taller and flexier.
Yes the Glider is stiffer and lower.

    thank you.

My initial questions is still unanswered: Is the boomerang super awesome and should I hold out for it

    I've got a SupaGlider, a SupaCharger and a B'rang ...
I will keep the Glider and the B'rang.
If you are used to dropped boards, don't go for a B'rang with RII type of trucks ... even with Indy and no riser it will be higher than the Glider with risers ...
But IMHO, they are both great boards, opposite style.
    as I said commuting : Glider, Carving : B'rang

Ah ... the B'rang is more a HighTech board, that you don't want to bump, you want to keep its beauty forever ...
opposite, you don't mind hurting the Glider, it is more a tank built deck sort of heavy duty ....

that helps a little more ?

I use drop through decks most often but am used to indy topmounts w eighth to quarter risers.

hows the concave on the boomerang? aggressive enough for standies, 180s and the like?

I guess if you look at it that way, then sure. But when you ride a set up, your full weight is on it. Camber flexes in most cases.

"Which one's taller" is sort of a dumb question. Ride height is mostly determined by your rolling hardware (trucks, wheels, risers).

Yes !!! the Boomerang is a very lively deck, lots of fun !
sort of an upgraded better designed Vanguard : stiffer and more reactive flex, larger near the trucks, nice 'grippy' concave ...
the Glider got a much smaller wheelbase ... in fact would be more accurate to compare the Boomerang to the SuperCharger ...
some pics for you to see :

cause the usual setup you'd see is with indy's [for some without risers]

My setup is a 44" Skull Skates Comet, Invader 183s ridden VERY loose, Powell G-Bones 97A. Any ideas on what I could do?

Well spotted ... that is the ones ... the best front trucks ever ... with the right bushings (home made Abec11) ... very stable and very turny ... an incredibly nice geometry ... very well ingeenered with its reversed kingpin going directly into a long custom nut .... but shhhh ... keep it secret ....
