Longboard Skateboard Reviews and ComparisonsWant to review a longboard, decide what you think about deck or get someones opinion on a board you are looking to buy.
I am just getting in to longboarding and have ridden my friends board a few times. I already have some original s8 trucks that have barely been used. I also have some abec bearings and a set of lime retro zig zags. I need a board that can do a little bit of everything except bombing. It doesn't have to be that great for tricks but I want to be able to shuvit and nose manual without too much trouble. For the board I want it to be under 100$. I weigh about 100lbs and am 5'3. preferably 40 in or lower for length but a little bit longer is ok. We don't have many big hills where I live so I just want to be able to cruise and carve small to medium steep hills. Thanks in advance for the advice.
If you don't have the risers that come with those S8s, you'll need to either get some, or buy an Apex 37 or 24, as those boards have cutouts for the cam, so you can mount the trucks.
For compatibility issues, I'd stick with Original decks anyways. Just look through their stuff, and find anything that comes with S8s, and you know it will work. Originals lean really hard, so it can be tricky to find decks that will work without wheelbite.
You can order any of their decks by calling them. The prices are very reasonable, and there are many under $100. Original is also very good about recommending decks, so you should just have a chat with them. It's a little hard to make a recommendation, as it seems you want a board that pretty much just cruises. I think you'd be happy with almost any Original deck. My favorite a while back was the Derringer 28, which I believe only costs $60.
I have risers for the trucks. The path, malakai and torpedo all look like good options. I think I will probably go with the path. Do you think this is a good choice?.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the sector nine bullet a drop through and don't original trucks not work on drop throughs. Anyway, the path seems like a good option
