    Default FSMini vs FSM

So here's my dilemma. I don't know whoch one to get. I like the FSM but i'm a little worried that it might be a little bit too big for me. Im only aroung 5" tall. Should i go with the FSMini or should i just get the FSM? Which one is more versitile? Or are they exactly the same riding feel at around 30mph?

EDIT: Or should i get a different board? Open to suggestions.

it'll be used for freeriding and a bit dh here and there?

get the fsm. The fsmini is tiny. The fsmini will not have enough space nor a long enough wheelbase for going 30.

how do you want to use the board? if you are just straight bombing there are decks better suited for that in my opinion. if you want to do some slope style then the fsm isnt bad.

im not the biggest fan of the fsm, the rocker is too much and i dont like that its in the middle of the deck. but thats just me.

All I'm worried about the fsm is that it might be too long for me.

more of a free ride/ slopestyle thing. Can you suggest other boards?? But I'll probly want something that I can use for dh in the future.

I've never actually felt a board with a rocker before but I'm a little bit curious.

Rayne Hellcat, Landyachtz Drop Speed, Rayne Nemesis / Demonseed.... The usual.

But if you're looking for something smaller, find a pool deck at your local skateshop (old school shape, I used a Powell Ripper because it's like 10" wide) and redrill the trucks on the nose and tail, then put 15* dewedges on them. I ride it on 50* Randals (which end up at about 65* I think) and have taken it to 45ish with no stability issues.

I've tried allmost all them and they still feel fairly long. probably the Drop Speed is the most comfortable of all those.

I'd rather not redrill and what not cos i tend to ruin stuff when i do that. lol. I'm not handy at all.

i know a few lighter riders that use the FSM for bombing. im 200 lb and i could take it easy to 30 mph. for someone lighter it might be really good.

but if you want something smaller for light DH and freeriding you might want to consider the Comet Loki. smaller than the FSM and also made for DH. the landy Spud might fit you very very very nicely too, ( me at 5'11 fit on the Landy Switch perfectly so you at 5 ft should fit nicely on the spud.) excellent freeriding deck and also good for DH for a person your height.

if you could land yourself a S9 race in teh 38' that would be very nice for you as well if you like topmounts. or you could always get a custom made Kracked skulls Rapier deck ( dropthrough speedboard) at any length you want it. ^_^

A Loki actually sounds like a good idea. But i might also save up for an Isis cos i wouldnt pay for the shipping I'll just ride the bs and go to rayne . Do you know what its actual affective platform is?

I actually have a custom Bentley Raid with 36" of pure awesomeness but i just noticed there's like huge cracks on the bottom ply and i'm scared to ride it some more cos it might just randomly break. Lol. And It feels a bit too small so i'm getting another one but 38" instead.
