keep the vanguard. Nemesis' are sick, but there really isn't too much of a difference between a nemi and a switch in principle. Keep your quiv versatile.

... however, if you get the opportunity to swap your switch for a nemesis, do it

nemmys go both ways...Id keep your vanny, trade your switch, and have a do-it-all quiver with two boards.

What's wrong with the Switch? Both of those boards are built with the same purpose in mind. They're both stiff dropped decks meant for freeride/Dh.

The switch broke my collar bone, hence it sucks.

    just kidding, but seriously.

I don't like the feel of the switch; too low, too narrow, to harsh of concave. It all comes down to personal preference (obviously, anything having to do with board choice does...). If you love your switch as much as you say, keep it.

Hahaha. Well if it broke your collarbone...then that's a valid excuse! But liking the Switch over the Nemmy and vice versa is definately a personal preference thing. The Switch's harsh concave works really well with the size of my feet, as opposed to the Nemmy, where I am literally shifting my feet from the heel and toe rail to find out where everything is, which makes for a pretty shady ride!

haha, I am 5'11" and a size 9.5 and I prefer the nemesis... goes to show the diversity of personal preference. It isn't really relevant to this thread though; he likes the switch, that settles it.

I'd take the trade. Then you can get a good comparison on two similar boards. Then you can trade the nemesis or switch. I would take that trade even if I had another nemesis mainly because it would be a fast and easy way to diversify your quiver for future trades.

I've ridden my friends loaded vanguard flex 3 I think, and I have to say the flex is ridiculous. He has it on randal 180mm and gumballs, it feels tall but it's really not and it isn't hard to slide it either. For carving it's a beast but for commuting and other stuff it wont really work as well. Just my opinion.

This is a good post to point out why he should accept the trade. The nemesis also good at carving while being good at commuting because the drop is only one inch. It slides like a beast. You can dh on it all day long you can also just f'k around going down hills. Nemesis 42 randals=win at everything. Get a variety of duro and style bushings and you have a set up that can be customized for any occasion.

    hahaha

I have size 9 feet; the width if perfect for me. i'll agree it's too low, i rock mine with a half inch riser to theoretically make it a 1.25" drop, and i love it more than anything. 10x more agile and way more fun. the agressive concave is nice and gnarly for me....but most of the time my foot are dug in the pockets at the end of the board (which really don't have concave) so it feels comfy as f*ck.

    personal preference!

if it helps, i would like to try a nemesis. i just fear the 10.25" platform is wayyyyyyyy too wide for me...actually i know...i like a 9.5"-9.75" wide platform for my feet.

Ya it's all a matter of preference, i have a switch and one of my friends has a nemi, i would suggest the nemi for bigger feet and the switch for anybody else, they both have very nice concave, the switch obviously has deeper pockets at each end and has a very noticeable "w" concave but i would recommend the nemi for commuting because it has nice flatter standing platform in the middle but still plenty of concave on the edges to lock you in, now some people may disagree with me but from my experience the switch holds me onto the board better but shifting your feet on the nemi is more comfortable even if you want to get into some dancing. Still it's all preference

The Edge... There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.
The others- the living- are those who pushed their luck as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down..bowed down. But the edge is still out there.
