Mantis or Crisis

I was wondering whether the Flexdex Mantis or Sayshun Crisis would be better for my first longboard.

I'm going to be using these to ride around my neighborhood with my friends, and might occasionally ride it to/from school

That Crisis is one KICKASS deal.

and Mark's setup will always be perfect no matter what.....so...

do you want a dropped through board or a topmmount board?

I find topmounted boards (the mantis) to be more agile and livelier; they offer more traction and i love the feeling up freeriding around on them.

Drop through decks are lower and offer a bit more drift/sliding ability (to a beginner). It being lower, it will make pushing/commuting to school easier than a topmount.

So what will it be? Grip or slip?

Does your neighborhood have any hills and do you prefer a stiff board or some flex?
