Default LBL Komodo vs. Kracked Skulls Scimitar

Hi, I'm fairly new to long boarding and i currently own a small banana board but I've been looking into getting a longer deck in which i can learn dancing and freestyle tricks in general, maybe even some small downhill just to see if I like it (most likely nothing over 30mph). After some research I have come to like both the LBL Komodo and the Kracked Skulls Scimitar but this is where i get stumped. I know both are great boards and whichever one I get I plan on keeping for a long time. I want to stay between these two boards because I want to be able to support a small business. The Komodo seems to be the more all around board but what I don't know is if it is really worth the extra $100 for me to get it? What do you guys think?

I'm about 6' 1" and weigh about 150lbs but I am currently gaining weight so I am most likely going to be a little closer to 160lbs by the time I get the board . Thanks in advance for any help.
