If a Dervish had unprotected sex with a 31" popsicle stick
I am looking for a new board. Ill be using it for about 60% cruising / commuting, 20% sliding, and 20% in the 2 local skate parks. A happy day for me would be to skate the 1/2 mile from where i park my car to work, then during my lunch hour skate around the city, controlling my speed down hills with slides and speedchecks, then when i get home, skate the mile or so to the skate park and skate the ramps there. All with the same board.
So i think the board should have these features:
-A kicktail, and possibly a nose kick, for ollieability
-Wheel wells, so i can run larger sized wheels without much riser (65mm would be nice, 60mm at a minimum, the roads and sidewalks here are a bit on the rough side)
-Concave, so my feet are more likely to stay in place when sliding
-Somewhat short, for portability and turnabilty
And also...
-A long-ish wheelbase, for more stability down +/- 20 mph hills
-Reasonably priced, not like the Loaded Ceviche or Rayne Agent, although they are nice boards
I am 5'11", 170 lbs. I wear size 12 shoes, and find the short board to be cramped.
Ive been looking at some Gravity Boards, the Roger Milahko 33, Pool 35 or 36. Also ive been looking at the Earthwing Drifter and Corchia.
As far as wheels, although the very hard 90A+ durometer wheels are good for sliding, i dont want to be uncomfortable when riding down the rough roads. The Orangatang Fat Frees seem to fit the bill, anything else?
Any advice or board / wheel ideas would be appreciated.

I would look through Gravity's line of boards. Everything from snappy flex to none, kick tails with concave on cruisers galore.
Here's one of their pool decks: GRAVITY SKATEBOARDS | POOL MODEL 35

I would take a look at the BC Flounder or BC Moray. Looks like they would be good for your style.
