Default Loaded darvish and LBL Komodo

Can anybody here tell me how much longer the usable foot platform for dancing is than the dervish? pictures would be usefull. I was looking at dancersbecause I want to get into dancing but I was thinking that if I got a full sized dancer and I didnt like it/stoped liking dancing then it would be a waste and the komodo could be used for more all reound stuff if I didnt dance.

If you want a dancing board, get a dancer.

Practicing will allow you to dance on any board.

Also, common sense states "the longer the board, the foot room you will have."

Search for the overall lengths of a board.

I can "dance" (I hate calling it that lame ass term) on my Dervish.

EDIT: Dervish is just as or more versatile than the komodo.

the komodo's entire length is useable for dancing. its topmounted so the whole surface is available, unlike the dervish which has the cutouts for the baseplate.

the komodo is a fun board. wether you are dancing or just going from A to B it get the job done comfortably.

now this has just extended my list of possible dancers. I like this because of the more 'all roundedness' of it but the loaded dancer isnt massively longer whih means it is more turny but has a nice foot space. the roggs, legendary platy and OSK all look nice aswell. why is the desision so hard!?

Heres a picture of my dancer versus my roommates komodo. My friends borrowing my dervish so I couldn't take a picture of it too versus these guys. Thats the foot room difference. The komodo is an awesome dancing board but if you are planning to only just get one dancing board and thats all your gonna do a dancer would be a good choice. But its so long and heavy that you need to know what your doing if your gonna get it cause tricks are alot harder to do on the dancer than the komodo.

I'm not going to be able to get a new board for a long time after christmas since my b-day and christmas are both in december and my dervish was an early b-day present so I realy want to make sure I am happy with my choice. When you say tricks are easier do you mean cross steps or tiger claw type tricks or nose manuals?

    IMO:
All dancing tricks and manuals are eaiser on the dancer because of the extra foot room and curvature of the nose and tail
Tiger claw, shuvits, and slides are harder on the dancer because of its size.

whichever board u choose will be awesome don't worry

Lol I noticed that i spelled the name rong vereh suun aftor i mad teh thred and wen I reed your coment i didnt notic yuo speld it rong and thought u were beinz a loaded hater then i noyticed uz speld it darvish and I waz leik LOLLOLLOLLOLLOL ROFL!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!

I have not realy started learning tiger claws and stuff like that yet just cross stepping and getting about 2-3 seconds on my nose manuals XD. actualy I get realy bored in chemistry so I started leaning back on my chair since I started nose manuals. basicaly learned to balance on the back 2 legs of my chair for 30 seconds in the same amount of time it took to get 2-3 sec nose manuals . back to the main point, if I m not doing tiger claw stuff then the dancer will be better than the komodo? and if I am 112lb I'm guessing I want the flex 2 like my derv

Have you looked at the LBL Salamander? Its a mini, kicked Komodo. I love mine. Its long enough to dance, kicked enough to do cool tricks, has a long enough wheel base to be a great longboard, but short enough to pump for ever. The flex is redicul'us too. AND you can carry it way easier!

If I want to learn manuals and shuvs and tiger claw stuff I can practace on my dervish first to get them then do them on the dancer and use the dancer for boardwalkin stuffs? seems to be a good way of learning stuff.

I think that the Komodo will feel to similar to the dervish and the dancer will give me a totaly new feeling.

Personally for i would say go komodo. Unless you plan on doing lots of double cross steps and stuff that requires tons of room go komodo. i love the upturned noses on the dancer, but the weight for shov it tricks is a little rough, as well as finger flips. If you wanna see footy of the komodo i posted a newer video.

thats a sick video but the phailed slides at 2:40 and 3:00 must have hurt.

I do want to start learning double steps n' stuff. I'm practicing cross steps and peter pans on my dervish and tiger claws exept it just feels to short to realy get them smooth.

the dervish actually feels nothing like the komodo. The dancer and the komodo feel very similar. I say go with the komodo too.

the komodo is 6 inches longer, but its also topmont so you never step on wheels, which i always seem to do on a dervish. But the weight to the dancers is too gnarly in my opinion for dope flip trickls and finger flips. its lenght makes learning the basics easier , but makes more advanced tricks harder because of the size/weight

the only tricks that would get harder are hand tricks and shuvit stuff which i can learn on my dervish then move up to the dancer.

Ya , but trying to do a 540 hand spin or a Viper/arm imposible is really realy tough with a dancer. Plus bigspins are pretty rough on a dancer as well. I have rode basically every dancing board you can name and i personally think the komodo reigns supreme , over the LBL and loaded OSD and dancer
