Question Board for the next level

I have been longboarding for a year now and think it's time to get a new board. The one I have now is a pretty crappy board i got off Ebay. I've mostly been carving and cruising and I'm really comfortable doing it. However, I feel like the board I have now can't do anything more for me so I want to get a new one. I also want to learn how to do some tricks, and my current board is worthless for that.

So, does anyone have a suggestion on a good allround board for cruising/carving/freestyle. I've been looking at reviews here on Apex 37, Dervish, and BC Eel. Is that the type of board I need to step things up?

telling us what you have for a current board and components will help us know where you're coming from and what you're used to riding.

also, what are you going to be using your board for MOSTLY? i.e. commuting, dancing, sliding, dh?

shoe size, height, weight will help us out as well

I'm with UltyHuck13 (which we all should be considering is rep, # of posts, etc). Tell us what a majority of your ride consists of and what you will be using it for.

I have the SoCal Skater 39.5 Carver Pintail Longboard 76mm. More or less, I want to do everything besides dh.. at least for now. So I'm looking for a good allround board. Does that make sense?

    Height 5'9
    Weight 165

    Appreciate the help man

The boards you listed are all about similar. I'm biased for the Apex since I own one and prefer over the Dervish (never ridden the eel), but I guess it all comes down to semantics at this point. The Apex is smaller and lighter than the Dervish. I like its looks better. And I think it's a funner board, a better carver. My 2 cents.

Thumbs up Re: Board for the next level

Loaded dervish, simply because you will love it.
Not ideal for DH, but perfect for anything else.
