Exclamation Bustin Sojourn, or LBL Salamander

i am wondering wither i should get the sally or the Bustin Sojourn. I'm 5'1" and I weigh 85 lbs. I really want a good commuting board, a carving and sliding board, and board that's good for amateur tricks. Please help!

The salamander is the most fun board I've ridden in my life. Soooo light, very flexible and snappy, sweet shape, perfect size. Has awesome nose and tail, slightly kicked. And they are seeeexy.I can pump mine, slide it, commute on it; it really is an awesome deck.

You made the right choice. I cant say much more than ThatGuy said, The sally is incredibly fun, so so so so much (portable) fun! Look into the Hosoi Hammerhead or something like that.

I have the same question as the original post. I'm looking for a smaller board to carve, slide, commute and maybe learn some flip tricks. Has someone spent time on both? I've read good reviews of both boards, but not a direct comparison by someone who's tried both.

Also, for either board, what size trucks do you like and which would work well for what I would like to do? I want to try Indy Hybrids on it, but I'm debating the size.

Ive never heard any ringing endorsements for the sojourn honestly. The sally....its just so much goddamn fun! Its my commuter/tricker/pumper/carver and mild slopestyler. I love it. Its honestly the best bopard ive ever ridden for city riding and flat land stuff.

Set it up with 150mm ish trucks (169 indies would be perfect...im using bennett 6.0 front and tracker RT-S 149mm back), front wedged and back dewedged, wheels ~70mm (im using Gravity 76mm Hi-Grades though) and have fun!

How's the Salamander for flip tricks? Specifically, how's the pop and the kicks on that board? I know the Sojourn has a pretty decent pop to it, same with the Ceviche, and can be ollied relatively easily. But that's just my opinion.

if you use low trucks its probably ok for it. Ollie-ing isnt its forte, but its possible. THe tails are better used for manuals/shuv-its/longboard tricks. It could be that i just suck at ollie-ing though haha.

frankie, your persistence is slowly converting me. How is it for sliding? I don't plan on taking it down a mountain, but I would like to slide on small hills, maybe garages too.

Also, is LBL the only place to purchase one? I figured so, but I'm just curious on that one.

What of the BC Moray as well? How does it stack up against the LBL Salamander?
