Re: Scimitar, Night Skateboard, or Dervish
The flex on the demon can be adjusted a bit a believe. I rode one and it was awesome. How much do you weigh?

I know that hating the dervish is the cool, non-conformist thing to do, but I highly reccommend it over the scimitar. The dervish does have a slight concave, and with it being as narrow as it is, anything more would be uncomfortable. The scimitar feels dead compared to it. I already know what you people are going to say... "teh durvish iz a trampoline!!1!" My answer to that: buy the right flex for you. I have ridden both the dervish and scimitar extensively--I have a dervish, and my friend has a scimitar--and from my experience, the dervish is much more fun to ride.

I never said I 'hated' the dervish, and I never said I didn't like it because it was the 'cool, non-conformist thing to do'. Did you read what I said? I stopped considering it because there wasn't any or at least was barely any concave, and also because of the high price.

The dervish was definitely the most bouncy but to tell you the truth it was almost to floppy.
Now I know it is a bit biased but I am going to say that my board is the best choice, not only for price but also its a custom
I've got a few questions, should I just PM or email to you, or just post 'em?
How wide are each of these boards? Also, how long is the part of the deck you actually step on? I'd like plenty of footspace to mess with. I weigh 120-125, by the way.

I wasn't referring to you in that regard, but half the people on this message board that just ignorantly post false information. Sorry if you thought I was directing my little rant towards you.
The Dervish is 8.5" wide
The Scimitar is 9" wide (My friend's is, but I think you can custom order wider if you want to)
As far as footspace, the Dervish is 41" and the Scimitar, you can get up to 42".
Other than length and width, which is pretty much the same, the nose and tail on the Dervish are much better suited for manuals, shove its, dismounting, or whatever else you want to do with it. With your weight I would recommend the flex 2 dervish. The Scimitar won't feel very lively at your weight I don't think. I weigh 140 and it doesn't flex very much. On the other hand, it is perfect for my friend who weighs about 180.
Hope that helps

Im probably going to get this board for christmas, and Im ordering 2 inch nose/tail, and want to know 1: How is the length of the nose/tail measured? (From the end of the board to where?) and 2: How big is the nose on the dervish.

Speaking of false information you can get the scimitar up to 46". If you are under ~150 i think the scimitar might be a tad stiff for you. Also it's not so much hating on the dervish as stretching your dollar. The deck costs ~2.5 half times the scimitar and 1.5 of any other deck.
In addition to the NS heist, dervish, scimitar, demon, i think you should also consider the 38" symmetrical mosquito. Take note that different materials have a different feel to it. I believe the current demon is only made of wood? (not sure, i think they're coming out with a bamboo version) I'd recommend something with some glass. Also if you could ask steve to build you a 40" symmetrical mosquito that'd be pretty sweet or pm someone with a NS heist and ask them about it since it's a relatively new board.

First of all the deck has an amazing finish to it. its nice and reflective with a smooth mirror like finish, the stain job is very very nice and he nailed the color i wanted down perfectly.
The board is light. lighter than a dervish, lighter than alot of minis. i couldnt believe how damn light it was!
Other then the looks of it the ride itself is nice and bouncy, soft and cushiony at my 200 pounds. dancing and boardwalking are a breeze and you have a little more room than with a dervish or scimitar. the flex of it is springy and it pushes out of the turns alot, if your not carefull its to the point where you can get thrown off, but i welcome that and it makes it alot easier to pump.
here are some more pics for you guys.
i would go for one of these or a legendary Demon... those legendary demons are SICK too!
You think you, or someone else, could put up a pic of the concave?

No, the scimitar is not a dh board. and if you've never followed a company or don't know anything about them, please don't tell people that they aren't good boards or that they shouldn't buy them. I understand you're repping your company but that's ridiculous.
