Mounting hardware, washers on a top-mount?

I was getting paranoid about the countersunk holes in my deck getting too deep so I wanted to get some wider, button head bolts.
Unfortuately, Ace didn't have any that had heads wider than the mounting holes, if that makes sense.

So, I just added in some fender washers and put them on.

My question is, would this be an fairly safe way to mount trucks? Some of the washers started to bend a little as I tightened them snugly, but very lightly. Aside from that, they're stainless steel and pretty beefy, but is there anything I should look out for?

I use panhead hardware with washers and it works great.

I am pretty sure it's safe to do this.
The only reason for not doing this everywhere is, that sunk in bolts are nicer to step on (as in you won't feel them at all). But on a deck with a neck, where you don't step on the bolts anyway, this is not a concern.

You might step on them oddly and your feet'll get a bit confused, maybe. I always run washers, regardless of the hardware, it's just nicer for the board. The extra height makes it a good reference for foot placement sometimes too.

If you use countersunk hardware, then your holes should be countersunk as well.

Before I grip my board I spin this thing in each hole to relieve stress and prevent cracking.

I actually like stepping on these. It feels comfortable to me.
I guess that seems to be the rule, haha. If it fits, I sits ... right?

It's a Churchill deck that already had the holes countersunk. It just felt to me that they were really digging in, maybe a 1/2mm or two.
I was just wondering if this has any like structural issues with it, but I guess not.

Counter sunk holes aren't a problem. Remember, your weight pushes down on the board. Your board sits on trucks. So, your weight pushes the board to the trucks. More stress is held on drop-thru's because your weight pushes the board away from the trucks... and on drop-thru's there is a lot of abuse until hardware breaks. Your board doesn't look like it's been abused that much, so I'd imagine you are in the clear. Even then, I've ridden boards with 2 bolts holding on the trucks and it seemed fine until I bonelessed as high as I could and snapped the neck off my dropthru......
