    Interesting indeed. Subscribed.

I'm sure you've already measured the temperature of the wheels with this system installed. What did you find?

Part of me wonders if the inside wheel is still handling the majority of the load. I say this, because at full compression of the outer spring, the outer wheel is still in the same place it would have been without this system installed.

I'd like to know what you've experienced while trying this.

This may be something revolutionary. I would love to try this. Too bad I don't have money for new trucks...

I've been toyin with a similar concept, but w/o the friction points of a steel axle wearing onto a brass bushing and the gap you are leaving creates the worst kind of slop for traction, which negates the goodness in the lateral shift..
Please don't take offense.. but that idea has been tried 20 yrs ago, and it failed.

wait so the wheel has the ability to slip around do it can move outwards and hold more traction?

Probably can even up the load by using narrower trucks and looser bushings. Maybe make a drop deck type board to compensate stability wise.

General Information about types of wheels. READ and LEARN

Low boards with slower steering angles and wide trucks are stable, but "push" a lot because of the sideloads in the turns, and give up traction. Higher boards with steeper steering angles and narrower trucks turn more easily, allow more downforce, and give you better traction.

Slop is not your friend. Precision trucks provide better traction and control.

I'm not a physicist, but I'm not sure I like this.

If I understand correctly you have a truck with an axle that is wider than the truck. There are springs on both sides to keep the truck centered. But as you enter the turn the truck will slide to the outside wheel.

So one issue is your entire board will slide outwards. How does this work when the trucks want to go in different directions? Does this scrub the wheels?
Another issue is as the truck slides closer to the outside wheel the truck is no longer centered on the axle. How does this effect the turning? It seems to me that it would make it more difficult to turn.

Keep innovating, but I think this will need some more work.

it does sound like the concept has merit...and big ups for going out there and doing something different....

my two insights into this are:

    1. it'll be hard to convince people that this is legit, there are millions of "sk8scientists" out there...but there is usually very little science involved...so if its 100%, it'll float! just keep at it.

    and

    2. i don't really enjoy the idea of an axle that is free to do as its pleases inside my hangar...call me old fashioned...but i like the idea that my truck is not going anywhere from underneath me.....

thats, just my 2c....let us know how the testing goes!
