So as promised I have a review of these Indy DH plates. All I can say is these things are DOPE!!!!!!! If your a fan of running Indys these are a must have. I received the 0* baseplates. I ran the back flat and wedged the front to say 10*. The flat 0* turns super mellow and is almost dead leaving the front to do all the work. As far as I am concerned this is my ultimate race setup now and I will be running this combo at Maryhill. Again, These plates are top notch and the following video will re-enforce that.

Definite skill was shown. You were blasting past those guys who definitely were way a head before you started down. Just goes to show it's all about rider skill and personal preference to what feels/works right for the individual rider.

    Question Re: Indy DH plate

In the video Andrew is still using risers so I'm still not getting how these plates are better than just wedging Indy plates so the kingpin is at the same angle. I mean it's nice that you can easily use any length standard kingpins and all but I don't understand why you can't accomplish the same thing by modifying stock Indys and using appropriate hard wedges and risers.

if he is wedging it then i have to agree here with EC... i thought the whole point was to not have to wedge anymore...

He wedged them probably because Sandwich sent him two 0* baseplates, but he also makes baseplates with other kingpin angles (like 10* which is what he wedged the front one to).

yeah, those 0 degree plate have a hight lean low turn thing going. and because you are directly over the bushings, they feel softer. .
Andrew sweet video. looks like they handle better top mounted. i need to do that... and build a deck to top mount them on. i also need to pick up a set of eliminators, and let my toe heal.

Broken left toe+Goofy footed=cannot push, footbrake or tuck. all i can do right now it pump, and not on the indy dhs trucks. Sad puppies.

Top mount them on the Cindrich.

Yes, you need elims. I have green elims in my Hybrid 66s and they feel so much better than the barrels I was running.

You need a lot more wedge to the KP strait vertical as apposed to running these with a 5-10 wedge. Also, he got 2 90* plates. If you look the front is wedged to get some steering back. The back is flat wedged to get the ride height even with the front.

i weight 280, so i am thinking a 93/97 elim front and 97/97 back or would that be too stupidly hard. plus i am going to use the standard front, cindrich back. thats $23.80. i think i can handle that. i really want to mount these on a DH36 standard front Cindrich back with Fat Frees. i need a job... anyone hiring in the East Bay Area

Andrew, how did you not get bite.

Andrew, how did you not get bite.
I haven't spent a whole lot of time on Indy style trucks so I really wouldn't know. I bought a pair of 97a Elims (for grins) and they feel like rocks in reverse kingpin style trucks. Considering I thought that about the 93a ones too, until I put them in my Hybrid 66s, I'd say the 97a ones would be fine under a much heavier rider.

You wouldn't be able to wedge the rear truck enough. It's -17 compared to the stock Indy. Also like others have said, some setups don't require risers.
I've run them on my Voodoo XL with no riser & 70-72mm and not gotten bite (doing DH-oriented turning anyway), except for once or twice around a nasty hairpin where I practically have to fold the board in half lengthwise. As the kingpin goes closer to 0, your wheels don't move as far back toward the wide parts of the board anyway. Sometimes it helps, sometimes doesn't matter.
I gots sphericals in my hangers now and also a new Madrid that Mercado was kind enough to send me. I haven't set it up yet or anything (out of town/family emergency or I woulda), but I'm looking forward to running the two Cindrich Zero plates with sphericals on it to see what kind of turn I get.
    So stoked right now...........
