Let's see...
smokey KP spherical
1" diam. drill bit
JB weld
Haven't ridden them yet. They've been curing for a couple of days while I was gone. I'm interested to see how they hold up. I suppose I have a couple of ways to test them out "under normal riding conditions".
what bushings?
eliminators?
i kinda don't like running barrels on spherical trucks..

Elims/Rads.
I'm getting killer response, but due to the tall profile of the spherical, I'm essentially sans bushing seats, which wouldn't do much good in the case of the Rads anyway. Lots of lean/slow rebound. I'm gonna cut some deeper drains (like Zak's tutorial on fixing rattling Smokies) in the bushings and see if it helps.
While on the subject, does anyone know of a smaller OD and/or lower profile spherical than the one that comes in a Smokey hanger? I believe the Smokey KP spherical is 1" OD by about 3/8" tall on the races, but don't quote me. I haven't really shopped around.
I did take some pics, but unfortunately my comp is not recognizing my camera right now. Try again in the morning.
That Mercado board is dope....

Re: Indy DH plate
as i thought.
hm.
imma grab more sphericals, and mod another set of indys.
dremeling bushings kinda dangerous..i don't want to inhale the dust. Oh, venoms might crack if they're trimmed.

i wanna see some pics of these beauties setup already.

Re: Indy DH plate
Here's my mad attempt....

The spherical is nice and locked in, but as I said, the profile is a little tall, which leads to no bushing seats.
Damn I thought I had a close-up with the elims on there. Oh well. Anyway, the bushings just kind of rest on the sphericals. It works, but I weigh 220 and could use the support of the seats as well. With the bushings really squished down it still works pretty well and makes for a progressive lean, consistent turn. I'm gonna keep messing around until I get it right. The sphericals are really not necessary with these trucks, IMO, just something to tinker with.
The Mercado board set up.

I love this thing. I wanna say the WB is about 29" but I haven't measured it. Flying down the hill with the Indys/Cindrich plates, I feel like I'm really skating. Like 1987 all over again.
I have my wedges and risers setup ( I think) like Mercado, 1/2" flat rear, 1/2" wedged front.
So sick.
The wheels are 70mm 80a Gators, BTW. No chance of bite.
I'll try to find my close-up of the truck ASAP

Re: Indy DH plate
Is top of the spherical high enough to be even with or above the outer edge of the bushing seat, or does it sit a bit lower? If it is significantly shorter, perhaps you could affix a washer to the base of the bushing seat as a spacer, as an alternative to cutting out part of the center section of the bushings, while still having that bushing seat edge to keep it all inside
I could probably describe it better with a picture, but I'm lazy, so does that make any sense?
Actually, now that I look at your picture with the green elims, it seems like they are already sitting high enough that the outer edge of the bushing seat isn't doing much.

oops pics

no, i meant the barrels. i don't have any elims..might gonna get some later on though.
i need to get another set of indy hangers first
i like the feel of indys on my fullbag topmount.

They're sick in Indy style trucks. I have green Elim bottoms and Yellow Elim tops in my Hybrid 66s.

i say dewedge it, it will give you more lean which translates to pushing the deck sideways. wedging will increase the amount of turn the trucks are capable of, so it will grip easier.
